I am selling my 2013 Scion Tc with 10,XXX miles on it. I have a lot of extra upgrades and add ons to this car. This is a super fun car and I had no plans to sell it, I put everything into this car with the plan on keeping it for many years. I am only looking to sell because we are making new home purchase. I have $7000 invested in this car, everything that has been done has been professionally installed.

Along with the purchase I will include a case of 12 oil filters also.

I have about $5000 worth of audio equipment which includes
JVC KW-AV70BT Bluetooth Enabled 2-DIN In-Dash DVD/CD 6.5" Touch Screen - $500

This is one of the loudest stereo's I have ever put together. It is very crisp and clean and sounds great with any type of music, Rap and Hip-Hop has great tight bass, Heavy Metal and Alternative is loud, Classical and Electronica is very distinct and clean and you can hear every small detail of the music.

It also has full exhaust, headers, intake, lowering springs, tint and custom laser cut floor mats.

I have the factory springs and manifold, I also have the factory head unit and speakers that were originally installed on the car, but I do not have the factory exhaust or intake.

Full Meagan Racing Exhaust - $700
Weapon R Headers - $300
Injen Intake - $300
Professional Installation (SRC Autobody) - $400
TRD Lowering Springs 1" - $300
Full Tint with Sunstrip - $300
Weather Tech Floor Mats - $200
Plus Dealer Weather Floor mats and Dealer Carpet Floor Mats (Still in bag -unused) - $200

The rims have been painted black and are the factory 18" wheels with Toyo tires. Tires are in great shape and still have 8/32" tread vs 10/32" brand new. Brakes are in great condition and have minimal wear as well.

The car has the 3 yr 36,000 miles remaining factory warranty and 2 yr 25,000 maintnenance plan also with it. I am very anal about changing the oil and rotating the tires. The oil has been changed at 1800 miles, 5000 miles and 10,000 miles.

I am NOT looking to trade for anything so please do not ask. This is to be sold and I will not accept any low ball offers so keep those to yourself. I am open to any reasonable offers. I paid $22K for the car + $7000 approx - $29K. This is one of the most reliable cars you can purchase and you do NOT get any kind of discount when you go to purchase a Scion. They give you what is called "Pure Pricing" which basically means you pay full sticker!!! It sucks I know but they hold their value much better than any domestic automobile.

If you are truly interested and want to know any more on this car don't hesitate to contact me.

This is a great car and the next owner will have many years to enjoy it and is getting a good deal.
Please feel free to text or email or call me with any questions on the car at

2014 Scion tC

Wed, 14 May 2014

Once upon a time, the Scion brand sought to bring more youthful buyers into the Toyota stable. In the early 2000s, Scion launched with its plucky xA and xB hatchbacks, and a lot of people bought into its affordable, customizable, funky lineup - myself included. I was once the proud owner of a 2006 xB, and though the box-on-wheels wasn't really a proper enthusiast machine by any means, I loved its unique driving dynamics, clever packaging and fresh style.
Following those two hatches, Scion released its tC coupe - a modestly sporty little thing that stayed true to the brand's core values of being affordable, neat-looking and endlessly customizable. People really dug the first-generation tC, and with good reason - it offered a bit more personality than a comparable Honda Civic Coupe, effectively the only other two-door compact then on the market from Japan. And for folks who wanted a sporty, low-cost two-door, the tC was a pretty decent buy.
But then Scion changed. The xA was killed and the comparatively frumpy xD bowed as its replacement. The xB was totally renewed, but it got bigger, heavier and less attractive in the process. And then after a few years of standing idle (will we ever see xD/xB replacements?), Toyota birthed the Scion FR-S - a properly sporty, enthusiast-minded rear-drive coupe created with the help of Subaru. I really dig the FR-S - if I had to buy something from the Toyota/Lexus/Scion stable, it's easily the car I'd want. But by offering a properly good two-door package with its new coupe, where has that left the older, front-drive tC?

Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of

Scion teases mysterious sporty iM concept for LA show

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Thoroughly cleansed of our time at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, we can now start looking forward to the next big show on the circuit (with all due respect to SEMA), the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. One of the earliest new cars slated for LA is this, the Scion iM Concept.
Now, these teaser images don't show us terribly much. We can see the headlights, foglights and wheels. The little information we can glean indicates that, based on the short hood and minimal space between the front door and front axle, the iM will be a very small vehicle. That said, a very low ride height (and Scion's own press release) claims this will be a rather sporty offering. The concept's nose and grille, meanwhile, bears some resemblance to Toyota's most recent stylings.
We'll have more when the iM Concept debuts in LA on November 19. Until then, check out the pair of teasers and the official press release, available below.
