Selling Points: Im selling my 2006 Subaru WRX. It has only 23,231 miles. I used to have tons of fun racing this car but its time to move on. I have sold all of the performance parts and have had the car put back to stock. I have also replaced all worn parts and performed all maintenance. The car is as perfect as can be. The car was maintained by Procom Racing and we just performed a major overhaul / inpection to the vehicle. New tires, new brakes, all fluids / filters changed. The car is set to go! The car is almost new at this point.I sold the race engine that was in the car and replaced it with a brand new OEM engine. The new engine and turbocharger are from the 2007 STi and makes ~300hp. All work performed by Procom Racing. A reputable Subaru specialty shop. The engine comes with all paper work, etc. This car is a blast to drive and was maintained perfectly. I want to stress that maintenance was priority number one. This car is ready to sell and will surely leave its new owner happy!

Condition: The car has a small dent in the back passenger door that was repaired, but still has some ripple in the door. Its not highly noticeable, but note worthy. The interior is as perfect as the rest of the car. Upgraded seats from the WRX limited, upgraded sound, STi gauge cluster, and a few other JDM bits as well. The exterior is stock. Lowered on tien springs and has new 2011 WRX wheels and new dunlop tires. Im very particular about how my car is taken care of and wanted to be sure that even though its going up for sale that it is still just as perfect as I would expect. Definatly worth coming down and driving! I will note, that Im not for kids coming down to test drive / beat on the car. Come with a deposit as I am looking for serious buyers only. The car is beautifully maintained and blast to drive! Thanks for looking, Feel free to call with any questions!

CAR HAS CLEAN CARFAX, CLEAN TITLE, & ONE OWNER CAR!

Travis Pastrana puts on blue and gold Subaru jacket again

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

Travis Pastrana partnered with Subaru for eleven years, the relationship going especially well from 2006 to 2010 when Pastrana won four consecutive Rally America National Championships. They broke up in 2010 to give Pastrana space for his NASCAR fling and a couple of years in Global Rallycross with Dodge.
Giving up on his NASCAR dream last November has made possible a reconciliation with his former automotive love: Subaru has just announced that Pastrana will return to its Rally Team USA for the 2014 Rally America Championship, partnering with veteran team driver and current Rally America champion David Higgins.
Although the season begins later this month in Atlanta, Michigan, Pastrana won't return until the second round in February, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in Salem, Missouri. He'll also be at the start of the Global Rallycross round of the X-Games in June, but in a WRX STI this year instead of his erstwhile Dodge Dart. You'll find a press release below with a few more bits of information, and there's always this trip down memory lane...

Subaru takes another look back, this time at the 2004 WRX STI

Sat, 21 Dec 2013

Here we have the followup to the rally-mimicking Impreza 22B STI that Subaru recently chronicled in its Vintage Garage series: the 2004 Impreza WRX STI. Displacement for the boxer four was upped from 2.2 liters to 2.5, and after noticing how many buyers had installed larger turbochargers on their WRXs, Subaru decided to bolt on one in-house. That gave the final product 300 horsepower and a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour run of just 4.6 seconds.
It was stiffer, it's body from nose to front doors was penned by Peter Stephens, he of the McLaren F1, it came with a driver-controlled center differential, driver-activated cooling spray for the turbos and 300 pound-feet of torque. This is a curio from a time when, after a new WRX STI came out, you started poring through magazines to see how the Mitubishi Evo was going to respond. You can find out more about it in the video below.

Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table

Fri, 02 May 2014

Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
