2006 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
New Kensington, Pennsylvania, United States
Here is my 2006 Subaru WRX STI. I initially was not looking to sell the car, however I stumbled upon an insanely good deal for another car that I could not pass up. So here is the car. It's a 2006 Silver/grey Subaru Wrx STI with 74,090 Miles on the odometer, but it is my daily driver so that number is subject to change. The interior is the classic blue. It is a well maintained, oil changed every 3,000 miles. The car has many tasteful upgrades that, if anything, raise the value of the car. The paint has a few small chips from rocks, but that is to be expected with an 8 year old car. The interior is excellent with the exception of the floor mats somewhat fading color. Now, what really gives the car its value is its performance. Even though the car has 74,000 miles, it rides and feels better than new due to a set of Feal 441 coilovers installed not even 2,000 miles ago. Engine wise, the car is extremely strong with a stage 2 tune courtesy of J&S Dyno in Verona. The car has an amazing sound due to the catless exhaust system, courtesy of HKS. Included in the price is the stock exhaust system and OEM BBS rims with worn snow tires. Here is a list of the upgrades. This is a very clean STI and is an all purpose car. It is very fun to drive and I hate to let it go, but I cant pass this offer up on this other car. With that being said, I am using the money from this car to go towards the other one, so don't even try to lowball me because I will simply ignore it. I will only give test rides to perspective buyers, unless you are very serious then you can drive it. DO NOT contact me with ANY trades. Thank you! I will accept Cash payments as well as Cashier Checks, and I will not be shipping the car, you will have to come get it from me! Sorry guys! Contact me via phone or email 724-448-2448 |

Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
Subaru mulls motorsports return, nixes small CUV plans
Fri, 08 Aug 2014The Subaru WRX STI breaking the automotive lap record at the Isle of Man might be just the beginning of the headlines trumpeting a Subaru racecar. According to the latest rumors, the Japanese brand is looking at taking motorsports more seriously in the future. That could possibly even mean endurance racing at Le Mans.
According to Auto Express, the brand is mulling a greater participation in motorsport, but the big question is where. The World Rally Championship isn't a certainty because it now favors smaller cars like the Volkswagen Polo. Subaru still competes in series like Rally America and Global Rallycross, but there are bigger stages to play on.
What's interesting, is that this commitment to motorsports comes right as the automaker is denying plans to build a small CUV for its passenger car lineup. According to Auto Express, the company has no intention of developing a crossover smaller than the current XV Crosstrek. Even if the sales are there, it would just cost too much to develop. In the US, at least, the XV is doing great with sales up 42 percent in July.
Next Subaru WRX and STI to go sedan only; reveal headed for LA
Mon, 26 Aug 2013After a serious bit of teasing at the 2013 New York Auto Show, Subaru might be finally preparing to pull the sheets off of the production versions of the new WRX and STI. The venue, according to Automotive News, will be the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Besides that tasty bit of info, AN has a number of other interesting ideas about the 2015 WRX.
If you've been a fan of the five-door bodystyle, don't read this - the next WRX and STI will reportedly go four-door only. We've already seen the latter's whopping great wing, a tradition we're happy to see soldering on for next-gen car. According to the AN report, power figures to be around 265 horsepower from a 2.5-liter, turbocharged, flat-four engine.
Los Angeles is still quite far off, so expect to hear more rumblings about a production WRX or STI in the coming weeks. Take a look above for our most recent batch of spy photos, and then hop down below for some images of the stunning WRX Concept that was shown at New York.
