2006 Subaru Impreza Wrx Wagon 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, United States
This 2006 WRX Wagon has been my personal vehicle for seven years. It`s in good used condition with a few cosmetic blemishes to be expected from a car of this year. I`ve tried to show them in the photos. There is a small mark on the inside of the drivers door, a small crack in the rear right light lens and the rear bumper has some "orange peel" where I put on clear coat. The wheels have a few kerb marks on them and the tires all have between 4-6mm of tread left. The original engine was swapped out after some problems at 105000 miles. The used replacement engine had all new belts and a new clutch fitted before being put back in the car. The engine runs smooth with all the power you would expect from a WRX. The car has not been modified mechanically. It has a stereo jack input added to the CD player so you can plug in your phone or any music player with a 3.5mm jack. These models are rated at 230 bhp and are very quick off the mark. $500 deposit through paypal required within 24 hours of auction end. Balance to be paid by cashiers check. Any questions about the vehicle are welcome.

Subaru readying special-edition BRZ
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Another week coming to a close brings another rumor of a potential hotted-up version of the Subaru everyone wants to turbocharge, the BRZ.
A fresh rumor out of the Car and Driver offices makes the claim that a new, special-edition BRZ model will be offered up within the next few months. Word is that the new model will not get similar upgrades to the recent BRZ tS (seen above) for the Japanese market, meaning we're likely in for a cosmetic update instead of a functional one.
The looks of the tS could still be in the cards, however, meaning swapped-out lip spoiler, wheels and even STI badging might be on the way.
Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.
If you want to know what a record-breaking run up the northeast's highest peak looks like, check out Higgins behind the wheel in the video below.
Subaru gunning for 500,000 US sales by 2015
Fri, 20 Sep 2013For the last four years in a row, Subaru has experienced incredible sales growth including record sales of 336,441 units in 2012. This trend is all but guaranteed to continue this year with 281,652 on the books so far, but Automotive News is reporting the automaker has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The report says that Subaru is gunning for around 500,000 sales in the US by 2015, which doesn't seem like too far of a stretch considering 2013 sales totals are expected to top 400,000 units. Through August, Subaru's sales are up 29.3 percent compared to 2012, thanks to popular models like the Forester, Outback and, surprisingly, the WRX.
A new WRX is headed for an LA Auto Show reveal while an all-new Legacy is due out next year, and AN adds that Subaru is planning to significantly increase its media spending next year and start production of the Impreza sedan in the US in 2016.
