I repaired this car for my wife to drive. She liked the car a lot but with our life style we decided to buy the bigger outback wagon. She got between 24 and 26 MPG on daily driving and 31 on highway. She put around 12000 miles on this car with no problems what so ever. It drives just the way it should. It had no frame damage what so ever, no deployed air bags. The damage was a minor side swipe down right side of car and they must have ran over some jagged objects . I had to replace exhaust crossover pipe, catalytic converter, gas tank and straighten some places on floor pan. Also replaced front bumper cover and right front fender. Paint match is perfect. You won't have any problems with this car . You would not know this car was in a wreck unless you seen some of the remaining dents in the exhaust which won't cause any problems in the future. I have been in business for 32 years and I do the best job I can and I don't misrepresent my vehicles. Also the tires have less than 500 miles on them. I can arrange shipping if needed. This would be paid by buyer when delivered to your place. If you want to pick car up in person you can pay for it then. If you feel that this car is not what I said it was I will refund your deposit no questions asked. Buyer to pay a deposit of 500 dollars to PayPal upon buying car within 48 hours. Subaru celebrates 4-millionth vehicle built in Indiana
Mon, 02 Sep 2013Subaru has produced its four-millionth vehicle at its Lafayette, Indiana factory. The Deep Indigo Blue 2014 Outback is pictured above, alongside the very first Subaru to leave the Lafayette facility, a first-generation Legacy. Formally known as Subaru of Indiana Automotive, SIA opened its doors in 1989 and currently produces the Outback, Forester and Tribeca for Subaru, in addition to the Toyota Camry.
The plant, which was originally a joint venture between Subaru and Isuzu, has produced nine different models for four different manufacturers over the years, and is getting ready to add a tenth as Impreza production will be coming to SIA. Subaru announced plans to move Impreza production to Indiana when it made a $400-million investment in the facility earlier this year. As production continues, the Lafayette Journal-Courier reports that SIA will produce another million units by the end of 2017.
Subaru Viziv GT gears up for Vision Gran Turismo action [w/video]
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Ever wonder what it would look like if Subaru made a big brother to the BRZ, maybe to take on the Nissan GT-R or Japan's Super GT series? (Well, the BRZ already competes in the GT300 class, but we're talking about the GT500 major leagues here.) Wonder no more, car fans, because it'd probably look something like this. Only it's not a road car, and it's not a racecar. It's the latest addition to the growing roster of Vision Gran Turismo concepts for GT6.
Borrowing on the design theme put forth by the Viziv concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and the Viziv 2 concept showcased the following year, the Viziv GT Vision Gran Turismo is envisioned as a racing machine. Its hypothetical hybrid powertrain pairs a 2.0-liter boxer four, turbocharged and direct-injected, to a trio of high-output electric motors to deliver a claimed 591 horsepower and 593 pound-feet of torque.
Carbon fiber construction helps offset the weight of the motors and batteries to keep the hybrid racing shooting brake down to a theoretical 3,000 pounds, with competition-spec aero to keep it glued to the track. Gamers will be able to download it directly in the game as part of the latest update, but you can scope it out right here in the image gallery above and the video and press release below.
Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
