You are bidding on a one owner 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI in WR Blue Pearl. The car has 22,000 miles on it, is completely stock and has never been in an accident. A short-throw shifter and fog lights were factory installed and the all-weather mats are included along with the stock carpet floor mats. Never been smoked in and never raced or abused. There are some small rock chips in the paint. The front bumper has a scrape on the bottom passenger side and a crack approx. 3 inches long. I had Continental ExtremeContact DWS Ultra-High Performance All-Season tires installed and this car handles like a dream in the snow or any weather condition. The tires have approximately 3000 miles on them and as seen in the picture, have plenty of tread life left. It has leather/alcantara seats and interior, 6 speed manual transmission, heated front seats, Bluetooth hands free radio, HID projector headlights, 18 inch wheels, USB port and auxiliary port for easy use iPods, etc. A down payment of $11,000 (for loan payoff) is required within 5 days after the auctions end. 2015 Subaru WRX STI headed for Detroit, more WRX details leaked
Fri, 15 Nov 2013The debuts of the 2015 Subaru WRX and the Legacy Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week are kind of hogging the Subaru spotlight, making it easy to forget that there is a more potent, more aggressive version of the small sedan waiting in the wings. And based on a rumor from Australia, we'll see the sportier WRX STI at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
The report comes from Motoring in Australia, which claims that a more potent version of the WRX will make its debut in the Motor City, and that it will do so with an even 300 horsepower (five fewer than the current STI) and 290 pound-feet of torque (identical to the current car). Aside from the more potent 2.5-liter turbocharged flat four, the STI should boast the regular spread of aesthetic upgrades and suspension, brake, chassis and transmission tweaks.
The standard all-wheel-drive WRX will sprint to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
Subaru confirms performance concept, XV Crosstrek Hybrid for New York
Wed, 20 Mar 2013Subaru has made quite a name for itself as automaker that caters to the outdoorsy, green-leaning set. Now it's stepping up to the plate for those customers - some might say "finally" stepping up - with its first-ever hybrid vehicle.
The Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid will make its official debut next week at the New York Auto Show. And although there are no details about it just yet, we do have one, typically muddy, picture of the literally and figuratively green car to show.
The XV Crosstrek Hybrid will use a Subaru-developed hybrid system paired to the automaker's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. On the opposite end of the green scale, Subaru will also be showing off an "all-new performance concept car," which we can only hope is our first look at the next-generation WRX, or better still the WRX STI. Here's hoping.
