Up for sale I have my 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX premium edition. It has a 2.5 liter turbo boxer motor, a 5 speed manual transmission, and all wheel drive. The car has 34,000 miles and runs like it did the day I bought it. I am the second owner. The car has a couple of aftermarket parts that will be on the car when purchased but I will include the stock parts as well. As for performance upgrades the car has an invidia catted down pipe connected to a turbo xs cat back exhaust. It also has a cobb short ram intake. The car has cobb accessport v3 and was tuned by R/T tuning in Lansdale PA. When the car was on the dyno it put out 300whp and 329wtq. Also included in sale will be stock down pipe, stock cat back exhaust, and stock air box. As for exterior upgrades the car has rally armor mud flaps and the wheels are rota grids. The specs on the wheels are 17x9 with an offset of +35. The roof rack will not be included in sale. All after market parts have only been on the car for 5,000 miles. As for the interior, since it is the premium edition the car has heated leather interior. The car also comes factory with a navigation system that has blue tooth capability as well as a built in kicker subwoofer. The premium edition also has a sun roof. As for maintenance I have had the oil changed every 3000 miles, the brakes and tires have tons of life left in them. The reason for selling the car is because I am buying an Audi s4. I am looking to get $25,500 but will consider any reasonable offer. You can contact me through email or you may call or text me at 9O8894O936.

Subaru details BRZ tS, stops short of full-on STI

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Fans of the sweet-handling Subaru BRZ awaiting some performance enhancements got their hopes up earlier this month when parent Fuji Heavy Industries dropped some teasers hinting at an apparent STI version, but as was subsequently suspected, the model in question - now revealed in full - stops short of being a full-on STI model.
What we're looking at here is the new Subaru BRZ tS, which incorporates a series of enhancements but leaves the engine alone. Available exclusively in the Japanese Domestic Market, the BRZ tS package includes a thicker driveshaft, a front lip spoiler, Brembo ventilated brake discs packed inside 18-inch wheels and a smattering of STI logos inside and out. STI has also upgraded the suspension components, retuned the stability control and exhaust note and enhanced the interior with some carbon and Alcantara touches. An additional GT package includes further upgrades, most noticeably the giant rear wing (made of carbon fiber) shown above, black-painted alloys and Recaro bucket seats.
Only 500 examples of the BRZ tS will be offered in Japan, with no more than 250 of those outfitted with the supplementary GT package. Here's hoping Subaru gives us a taste on this side of the Pacific as well - or better yet, maybe they'll quit joking around and give us the full-on STI already.

Subaru updates EyeSight system with color-detecting cameras

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

Subaru is giving its EyeSight driver assistance camera system a major upgrade for the 2015 model year with new color cameras, as well as reducing its size by 15 percent over the rather bulky original system.
Subaru locates its EyeSight hardware inside the vehicle at the top of the windshield, which is unlike most other camera-based systems that have their hardware mounted somewhere in the front fascia. The benefit is that these rather expensive components are protected from any detritus that may hit the car, but the original system's size ate up a chunk of the driver's outward view. Thus, the shrinkage should be appreciated by new owners.
The upgraded stereo cameras have a 40-percent longer and wider detection range than the original system's cameras, and their ability to see color allows the system to recognize brake lights at a speed differential of 30 miles per hour, instead of 19 mph before. And as before, EyeSight continues to offer adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision breaking that can slow the car automatically if an imminent accident is detected, even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.

Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.
If you want to know what a record-breaking run up the northeast's highest peak looks like, check out Higgins behind the wheel in the video below.
