Selling a great car: moving to city and not longer need one! Easy to drive and handles beautifully. Well taken care of: BRAND NEW Brakes & Alternator Recently replaced Inner Tie Rods, Front Shaft and Axle, alignment, On time oil chages, tune-ups, etc I did get into a little accident (first ever!) and front ended a car in front of me (thought they were going L but took right instead and I ran into them while trying to pass going about 30 mph), therefore there the front L bumper and plate are dented. See photos. I haven't gotten around to replacing them but my mechanic said it would be about $70. There's a bit of rusting and other wear and tear but in general car in great condition w leather seats, working radio, heat, etc. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions |

Subaru says Forester logs 8,000 JDM orders in first month, 4x expectations
Fri, 21 Dec 2012The 2014 Subaru Forester is not on sale yet here in the US, but it has been on sale in Japan since the middle of last month. In that time, Subaru says that the 8,149 customer orders it has received have more than quadrupled the original expectation of just 2,000 units.
To go along with these impressive orders so far, Subaru has also provided a breakdown of exactly what initial customers are ordering, and based on the numbers provided, it would appear that early customers are choosing well-equipped models. This includes almost 90 percent of all models being ordered with the new Subaru EyeSight system, and while close to two-thirds of the Forester models are equipped with the base 2.0-liter engine, the turbocharged Forester 2.0XT is the most popular individual trim level accounting for almost 40 percent of the orders out of four available trim levels. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues as more Foresters hit dealers, but this is definitely a good sign for the compact crossover right out of the gate.

2015 Subaru Legacy, Outback crash their way to IIHS Top Safety Pick+ ratings [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014The Subaru Legacy and Outback are the latest vehicles to be awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's most prestigious safety title, Top Safety Pick+.
As we've explained many times before, this only applies vehicles that can score an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating on the five IIHS crash tests and earn at least a "Basic" rating for crash prevention systems.
In the Legacy's case, it totally aced IIHS's testing, earning "Good" scores on the small overlap, front moderate overlap, side impact, roof crush and rear impact tests, while also bringing home the top "Superior" rating for its optional EyeSight system.
Mark Higgins sets new Isle of Man record in Subaru STI
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Subaru has done it again, setting a new four-wheel lap record around the 37.75-mile TT Mountain Course at the Isle of Man. Mark Higgins in a 2015 WRX STI rocketed through the country roads at an average speed of 116.40 miles per hour to circle the track in 19 minutes, 26 seconds, thereby beating his previous record of 19 minutes 56.7 seconds from 2011 in an STI.
According to Subaru, speeds during the lap ranged from as little as 30 mph to over 160 mph. The STI was mostly stock with the only major mechanical change being different springs and dampers to handle the course's famous bumps at such sustained high speeds. For safety, it also had a rollcage, racing harness, and fire suppression system.
"It was quite a lap we did today and I am really happy to have another record in the bank. The chassis of the new car is so much better it really allowed me to pick up time in each sector in the more technical parts of the course," said Higgins about the run in the Subaru.
