2004 Subaru Legacy L 35th Anniversary--clean--runs Great! on 2040-cars
Mount Holly, New Jersey, United States
Listed for sale, is this 2004 Subaru Legacy. It’s
the 35th Anniversary Edition and it’s in excellent overall
condition. The car is very clean inside
and out. The interior shows minimal wear
and tear with no rips or stains. The
exterior has a few minor scuffs and dings, but the paint shines up very nicely.
There are no mechanical issues. The engine runs
great, the transmission shifts smoothly, and all options work perfectly. You can feel safe driving this car anywhere,
and the AWD comes in handy during in-climate weather. This is a 3-day auction, but I doubt it will
last that long. I’m selling it for a
friend who’s looking to sell quickly. So
send your best offers early. Thanks! |

Subaru getting creative in these two very different WRX STI viral videos
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Subaru is getting into viral videos with two new, radically different shorts to promote the 2015 WRX STI; both are pretty entertaining. They are certainly more interesting, from an enthusiast perspective, than the company's dog-oriented advertising campaign and sponsorship of the Puppy Bowl.
The first promotes a new grindhouse-style short film that Subaru is launching, which is cheekily called The Ride of Her Life, and it previews the full deal due on March 13. While It's just a glimpse at the moment, if Subaru really leans into the cheesy, 1970s-style, then the full video could be really enjoyable.
The second video is a new take on an idea we've seen before but is still very cool. There might be some digital trickery going on in some of the "Stick bomb" shots, but the result is still exciting. Plus, the STI's Nürburgring livery is quite attractive. Scroll down to check them both out and tell us which you prefer in Comments.
Should Subaru stay niche or go mainstream? [w/poll]
Sun, 11 Aug 2013
Out of all the automakers doing business in the US, Subaru is the one that has carved out the most interesting niche for itself in the minds and lifestyles of buyers. Outdoorsy types, dog lovers and active families alike flock to Subaru's rugged nature and all-wheel-drive utility - and they're fiercely loyal, which is probably why Subaru has become a success story.
But Subaru is still a relatively small player in the US market, and with recent profits surging, parent company Fuji Heavy Industries is facing a dilemma: continue on with the successful niche market Subaru has carved out for itself, or attempt to go mainstream and give big players like Nissan and Toyota a run for their money. According to Carscoop, Japan Times and Bloomberg News are reporting that Fuji Heavy is beginning discussions this month to determine which direction Subaru will take.
Acura may go all AWD in bid to mimic Subaru's success
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Acura's struggles have been well publicized. The Honda-owned luxury brand doesn't seem sure of where it's going or what it's trying to accomplish, with its cars and marketing lacking a coherent theme. Now, a new report from Automotive News claims that the brand could follow the success of Subaru and (to a lesser extent) Audi, and adopt all-wheel-drive as standard across its model range.
"I think that's the way we should go," Acura boss Koichi Fukuo told Automotive News.
Acura already offers some form of all-wheel drive on every vehicle in its line aside from the lamentable ILX sedan. That could change as Acura begins rolling out next-generation versions of its still relatively new stable of sedans and crossovers.
