138k on the clock. a/c works great, fresh fluids, new tires less then 5k miles on them(Hankook Ventus V12), almost perfect paint, everything works. being sold with two interiors(tan velour/ suede, tan leather.)the velour interior looks better as it matches the interior trim in the car. but they need to be cleaned. they arent bad but not perfect. il give the velour interior a 7/10 and the leather a 6/10 for condition. it has retrofitted headlights with STi lenses and 5000k 50w HID's. transmission is about a year old. as is the rear differential. has new struts in the front. the sun roof works but you need to press a pin in to get it to come back down and seal. i have a working sunroof rail being sold with the car. and as notorious as these cars are for leaking from all the glass this car does not leak at all.

as clean as this car is there are minor paint imperfections. small rock chips, small matte spot on driver side fender, small dent in hood. but you have to be inches from the car to see these. as you can see in the pictures it looks almost flawless.  the front bumper needs to be repainted or you can leave it as is.  the car is mechanically sound and if i had to drive this car cross country id not think twice about this breaking down on the way.

I am open to offers. so please dont be shy. kind of need to sell this thing asap

minor front bumper damage.. as i said.. it needs to be painted.

Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"

Subaru WRX STI prototype spied in motion

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Earlier this week, we got all hot and bothered over a set of spy photos showing the next-generation Subaru WRX STI testing at the Nürburgring. And while pretty still shots of a camouflaged car are always nice to look at, stirring up lots of speculation, having video is even better. Good thing, then, that our trusty spies were on hand to get some rolling footage of that STI as it lapped the infamous German track.
Now, as a good majority of the comments on our previous post will point out, it looks like Subaru has dumbed down the design of that decidedly hot WRX Concept from New York for the road-going car. Of course, we need to wait until all that swirly paper is pulled off the body, but from what we can see here, it looks like this new 'Rex will be more akin to the current Impreza than we were originally led to believe.
So while we wait and hope that what's under the camouflage will be something sexy, have a look at the video below to watch the WRX STI prototype get worked out on the 'Ring.

Buy a Toyota GT86 and your wife will hate you

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

Marketing can be a very strange business. Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.
Marketing. Gotta love it. Unless you're married to a man. Or something like that. We think. Whatever, just watch.
