This is has been my daily driver for 9 yrs. It is stock and still runs well . 213000 miles. I installed a Kart Boy shifter and Rota wheels and a STI hood scoop at 30000 miles. It has had intake gaskets, intake pipe, timing belt, water pump, radiator replaced. It has one small spot of rust. The roof has some paint damage. CEL has been on for 100000 miles or so, something to do with a o2 sensor. I replaced the sensor, no luck. It still gets around 26mpg. The cars runs good and still has alot of life left. It comes from a smoke free home. Time for a new one, maybe a STI this time.

Subaru lifts leg at Super Bowl, goes with Puppy Bowl ads instead
Mon, 28 Jan 2013There will be many automakers spending millions upon millions of dollars advertising in the Super Bowl next weekend, but Subaru will not be one of them. Instead, the automaker will be catering toward animal - specifically dog - lovers with a set of commercials for the 2014 Subaru Forester that will appear during Puppy Bowl IX on Animal Planet.
The ads all build on Subaru's reputation of being a dog-friendly brand, and its latest "Dog Tested. Dog Approved" campaign will feature four 20-second spots. Of the four, "Tailgate" and "On The Lot" are definitely the most entertaining, while "Let's Talk Financing" and, especially, "Lint Roller" are snoozers.

When one thinks of a safari, they naturally draw pictures in their mind's eye of wild animals, like lions, elephants and giraffes. I'm no different, and it was with visions of long telephoto lenses over vast runes and dunes that I embarked on a 19-hour plane ride from Phoenix, Arizona to Plettenberg Bay in South Africa, camera gear in tow.
Subaru axes WRX and STI in UK
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Auto Express reports Subaru will stop selling the Impreza, WRX and WRX STI in the UK starting next year. A spokesperson with the company said Subaru has been evaluating the Impreza and its performance in the UK for the past year and has finally decided to pull the plug. That means all of the model's performance iterations will also drop off of dealer lots, including the WRX and the STI. The unnamed spokesperson said Subaru UK currently has no plans to to bring more stock of either model once the current supply sells out. That means buyers in the UK have until around early summer 2013 to get their hands on an STI.
The move comes in response to slow demand, which has trickled off in the face of competition that best the machine in terms of refinement, performance and emissions. Moving forward, the automaker says it will focus its sales efforts on models like the XV Crosstrek, Forester and Outback, as well as the company's new BRZ sports coupe.
