Up for sale is my 2003 "Bugeye" Subaru WRX Impreza AWD of which I am the second owner. This car is a 2.0L 4cyl turbocharged with a 5 speed manual transmission. It doesnt need a thing and is in great condition for a ten year old car. Color is Midnight Black Pearl, will shine in shades of dark blue/black in sunlight. Has 122,xxx miles on it, will go up as it is my daily driver.
Car has a factory short shifter, new Exedy Stage 1 organic clutch (installed at 110,00 miles), had all its services (water pump and timing belt) done at 105,000 miles.
**Brakes were just replaced because I had a spare set around and figured it could enhance the car for the new owner.
I am the second owner of this car. Minor rock chips/scratches in hood as it was a commuter car for the first 100,000 thousand miles of its life, basic wear. Recently somebody decided to key my hood quite badly, but its barely noticeable with some wax on the car. No rust at all. Amazing driving in the snow and the rain, very safe, and tires are new (only 10,000) miles on them. Brakes are painted red just for looks. Car was also Rhinolined underneath and in wheel wells to protect the underbody. Exhaust is custom, done by my mechanic at Long Hill Auto and sounds good, nice rumble from the boxer engine.
Exterior could use work but it was a city/ commuter car before I owned it and it shows in some areas. but I do not have the time to give it the care she deserves, but this car has major potential.
Interior is 9/10, only the cup holder is broken, but still functions. Has aftermarket shift knob as well.
Engine was fully serviced and cleaned/ painted to make it look nice and the paint is heat rated for engines. All service when I owned the vehicle was done at Long Hill Auto
Looking to get $7500 for the car, slightly negotiable. I know what the car is worth, no low ballers. Don't bother offering thousands less than what the car is worth, you're only wasting your own time. Shoot me a reasonable offer, worst I can say is no. I do have the CARFAX report and KBB value sheet already. NO TEST DRIVES WITHOUT CASH IN HAND, MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE MANUAL PLEASE!

Subaru BRZ STI teasers added to Japanese website
Sun, 04 Aug 2013Coming Soon. With those two words, Subaru has officially dropped a confirmation bomb on our expectations for a higher performance version of the much-loved BRZ coupe, known, of course, as the Subaru BRZ STI. Two teaser images are being shown on the Japanese web-side home of STI along with the promise of 'coming soon,' and there's also a rather lovely looking set of twisty roads with the words 'Purity of Handling.'
There's not much we can glean from the two teaser images, but we're expecting an aggressive body package to go along with a significant increase in horsepower from the BRZ STI. We're also not totally clear on what 'coming soon' really means - the auto show season will be kicking off in full swing this fall, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a debut in Los Angeles. That said, you'll know more just as soon as we do.
Which is quicker in the standing mile, a Subaru WRX STI or a Porsche Cayman?
Thu, 26 Jun 2014The 2015 Subaru WRX STI and 2014 Porsche Cayman are both saddled with unfair reputations. The STI with its huge wing and gold wheels has the title of the ultimate boy-racer. On the other hand, Porsche brand snobs look down on he base Cayman as just a wannabe 911. In reality, they are both pretty fantastic performance cars. But what would happen if the two of them lined up at a stoplight, and maybe the guy in the suit in the Cayman started throwing some revs at the young man in the STI? Automobile decided to find out in a recent video pitting the two stereotyped hot rods against each other in a standing-mile drag race.
In terms of raw numbers, they are surprisingly close. Both use flat engines and six-speed manual transmissions here, but the Subaru has more power and torque. However, the Porsche makes up for it with 300 pounds less weight. Neither should have a problem with traction either thanks to the STI's sophisticated all-wheel-drive setup, and the Cayman's mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.
The comparable specs certainly show themselves in the real world for the race. We're not going to give away the winner here because it's too exciting, but let's just say the finish is very, very close. Scroll down to watch both of them shrug off their stereotypes and show off their real performance.
Subaru boxers offer a different type of flat-four thrum
Wed, 08 Jan 2014If there's one number you'd associate with the Subaru Impreza, surely it'd be Four. Four generations, four doors, four-wheel drive, four cylinders in a boxer configuration. But in this Japanese market promo clip, Subaru has brought in another kind of boxer: the beat boxer.
Bringing in performers Kouteisennin and Time Machine, along with beat boxers Tatsuya and Rinka, the three-minute video clip below reinterprets the spirit of the Impreza through a mix of interpretive dance and human-generated beats that's rather hard to describe and needs to be seen - and heard. So pump up the volume and click on down below to see this clever and funky video for yourself.
