Up for auction is this rare and antique car. One of a kind with only three known owners. It has been in my family for almost twenty years with regular maintenance. It has been used as a secondary vehicle and parked more than driven. This car has many features that many Celica's around today don't. First it has a retractable moon roof as well as heated rear window as well as rear window louvers, Also has many original parts still and runs great. Has had some recent repairs including a routine tune-up, belts, hoses, spark plug wires, spark plugs, dristributor cap, rotor, pcv valve, water pump replaced, front wheel bearings and racers, new tires. Driven every day for around a year with no problems. In great condition for a 35 year old car and would be a great project car or restoration vehicle. Comes with new valve cover gasket to repair valve cover leak and all new parts to replace complete rear brakes (shoes, drums, springs and hardware, wheel cylinders) $200.00 value. NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.

Dr. Guan Zhu, a Texas A&M professor, caught the above view on his dashcam in College Station, TX, as a cement truck ran a red light, lost control and rolled into his Toyota Sienna minivan.
Although he received only minor injuries, Dr. Zhu says that he blacked out during the accident. The truck driver also avoided serious injuries, and the Sienna took the hit rather well too. Scroll down to watch the footage and report from KBTX. Hopefully, this is as close anyone else ever gets to a terrifying event of this nature.
Supra successor may be all-electric sourced from Tesla; MR2 returning too?
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Rumors of a revival of the Toyota Supra and MR2 have been swirling for years right up until just this week when high-level Toyota employees all but confirmed their return.
But now The Detroit Bureau has put together news from different sources suggesting that the next Supra might be all electric. The report cites recent comments from Toyota senior executives hinting at plans to work with Tesla on a new joint project. The FT-HS Concept (shown above) seems a logical inspiration for a new Supra.
And on the other side of the equation is Tesla's design chief Franz von Holzhausen who was quoted last year saying his company was looking at its next project, probably a sports car, that would follow next year's intro of the Model X. He went on to suggest the car would compete directly with BMW's 3 Series, which, in coupe form, could be a worthy competitor to a Supra as well.
