I bought this vehicle a few days ago from a person who just bought a truck. It was a pretty good deal so I bought it. It was pretty dirty, and the gentleman was a smoker. Got it professionally detailed, but there is still a lingering smoke smell. It should go away in time. There are small dings in places. He also said that it was involved in an accident on the front drivers fender. It was repaired and they did a decent job, but a trained eye can tell it was painted. There are some cigarette burns in the back seats. There are 3 that I saw. There is a ding on the front roof right above the windshield. The paint is showing through there. The leather steering wheel cover needs to be replaced, as well as the shifter boot. The passenger side window is finicky when you try to put it up from the drivers side, but is fine from the passengers side. The window trim black pcs are all faded or hardened and could be replaced. The spare tire and wheel covers are missing. The body kit trim pcs on the bottom of the front bumper are missing. Despite these minor things it still looks pretty good. With a little TLC and a visit to a junk yard, it will be looking pretty good. None of these items are necessities but would just make the car look better.
Mechanically is runs great. New clutch, catalytic converter, tires and brakes within the last 6 to 18 months. The air is cold, stereo is pretty nice, no smoke, clutch is smooth, tinted windows (cheaper quality tint I think). If you want a good little dependable, high MPG vehicle, this may be it! Please ask questions. I paid extra the get the title immediately, so I do have it in hand.

Watch the Muppets go for ice cream in a Toyota
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Do Muppets drive? We're not sure it's necessarily a good idea, but it's been known to happen. Fozzy called his hibernating uncle's Studebaker a bear's "natural habitat," and Doctor Teeth wouldn't get the Electric Mayhem very far without his band's psychedelically painted school bus. But how about Rolf in a 2014 Toyota Highlander?
That's what we got a glimpse of in the run-up to the Super Bowl, and the same combination (plus one Rizzo the Rat) that features in this adorably ordinary video below. Ordinary because it's just a couple of guys going out for an ice cream. Adorable because, well... they're Muppets. See what we mean in the surprisingly entertaining two-minute clip below.
Toyota recalling 342k Tacomas due to faulty seatbelt pretensioners
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Toyota is voluntarily recalling 342,000 Tacoma Access Cab pickups, produced between 2004 and 2011. The wide-ranging recall is due to faults in the screws that attach the belt pre-tensioner to the belt retractor. There are concerns that the screws can loosen themselves over time, especially if the access door is opened and closed with too much force. It's important to note that the recall only covers the driver and front passenger seat, and is limited to just the Access Cab trucks. Other body styles aren't affected.
If the screws come loose, the pre-tensioner and retractor spring could separate from the belt entirely, which would be bad news in a crash. There's no mention of injuries or accidents due to the faulty pre-tensioners. Owners affected by the recall will be notified soon, and asked to come in for recall service.
Toyota pimps out Esquire van for Japanese businessmen [w/video]
Wed, 29 Oct 2014A few months back we reported on a dealership owner in Japan who was petitioning Toyota to make a luxury van. The problem, he reasoned, was that he couldn't take as many friends, colleagues and clients around with him in his Lexus LS, and his Toyota Alphard van wasn't luxurious enough. Well, it seems like he wasn't alone, and Toyota has listened.
The Japanese auto giant has just revealed the Esquire, a new luxury van designed with just such customers in mind. It's significantly smaller than the Sienna we get in America, smaller than the aforementioned Alphard and about the same size as (this writer's favorite) the JDM Noah van (on which we gather it's based). But what sets the Esquire apart is its upscale appearance.
The boxy van is distinguished by its dominant T-shaped chrome grille with a unique emblem that encompasses a shield, sword, "the collar of a gentleman's suit" and the letters Esq. The flank is characterized by a strong beltline with chrome lower window frame and an expansive greenhouse with tinted rear glass. Inside the flexible cabin you'll find accommodation for seven or eight passengers (depending on specification), synthetic leather upholstery and wood and metallic trim. There are even wheelchair-enabled models on offer as well.
