Private Party sale. California One Owner Car. Black On Tan.

Up for sale is my beautiful 2004 Toyota Highlander SUV. I bought this car new and have cared for it personally. Always serviced. Always garaged. All records and books on hand. No stories. Everything works. A couple minor dings and scratches. Front bumper has tennis ball size ding ($300 estimate at dealer to fix). Some dings, scratches and scrapes all around (see pictures). A couple stains in interior that can use a good detail. The pictures tell all. I tried to describe as best as I could in all the pictures. This is not a dealer car that has been passed around the auctions and sold to many lowest bidders. This is a ONE OWNER, CALIFORNIA CAR, owned by me and sold by me.

Car is in Pacific Palisades, California near Malibu,California. We can arrange delivery world wide at seller cost, or pick it up and drive it home.

I have all service records and the Carfax current and up to date. You can download all the records and Carfax at this link: http://l.bitcasa.com/z-vnD4xc

Call me to come and see it +1-310-428-8486 or + 1-310-459-7125 (Ask for Shy).

Toyota recalling 20k 2014 and 2015 cars and CUVs with 3.5L engines

    Thu, 18 Sep 2014

Toyota has announced a recall of roughly 20,000 vehicles covering the 2014 Avalon, Camry, Highlander (pictured) and Sienna, as well as the 2015 Lexus RX luxury crossover. The affected vehicles are all powered the 2GR-FE engine, which in layman's terms, is Toyota's well-regarded 3.5-liter V6.
According to Toyota's statement, a parts supplier might not have welded "the end cap on the right-hand fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment" correctly, meaning fuel could leak. Leaking fuel, of course, increases the chance of an engine fire. That said, no fires, crashes or injuries have been reported due to the issue.
Owners will be notified to report to dealers, where techs will check the fuel delivery pipe and fit a replacement part as necessary.

Toyota announces Geneva plans including droptop FT-86 Open concept

    Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Automakers from around the globe are gearing up for the Geneva Motor Show next month, and Toyota is giving us a couple teasers of what will be in its display. In addition to what appears to be a single-seat concept called the i-Road (shown at right), Toyota will also give us our first look at a droptop Scion FR-S courtesy of the FT-86 Open Concept.
All we have to go on right now is this sketch shown above, but we do see that this car will retain its rear seats, which could be a potential advantage over one of its key rivals, the Mazda MX-5 Miata. Toyota says that this concept will be used to gauge public interest in such a convertible, but we've already heard that a Scion convertible is already planned to go on sale as soon as early next year. As far as Toyota's other concept, there also isn't much information about the i-Road except that it will be a zero-emissions vehicle and it will have seating for two passengers, which based on the drawing will have the driver sitting in front of the passenger.
Toyota will also show off the European version of the new RAV4 as well as its new Auris Touring Sports, which it refers to as a "medium-size estate." Scroll down for Toyota's tease of a press release.

Toyota reaches $1.2B unintended acceleration settlement in criminal probe

    Wed, 19 Mar 2014

UPDATE: Just like that, Toyota has released an official statement confirming its $1.2-million dollar settlement with the US Attorney's Office. Our story has been updated to reflect this development and the automaker's official statement has been added below.
Toyota has reached a settlement over the criminal probe into its unintended acceleration problems, and the outcome is more expensive than first expected. The Japanese automaker has agreed to pay $1.2 billion to close the investigation among other settlement terms. The criminal inquiry focused on whether the company kept information from regulators and how it handled drivers' complaints about the problems, according to the sources.
Between 2009 and 2010, Toyota ended up recalling over 10 million vehicles worldwide over sudden acceleration fears. Fixes include modifying floor mats, gas pedals, and installing brake override software on affected models. In addition, Toyota made the latter standard on all of its new vehicles.
