Here's what's for sale: 1972 FJ 55, the motor is brand new professionally rebuilt and is beautifully painted and put together. It has an electronic ignition from Manafree, Weber Carb & headers. The transmission, transfer and clutch are working perfectly and were serviced when we had it apart. Brakes are great and I would drive this truck anywhere...as long as you don't want to go much over 60 mph. If you know Cruisers you know what I mean.
As you can see by the pictures this truck has typical rust for this model. Part of the purchase includes a complete uni-body, front fenders, new headliner, set of 4 original wheels, drivers side door with door panel, used dash gauges with speedometer, jack, and a hand full of badges, switches and parts I've been collecting to complete the project.
This is a great running truck that could be a daily driver. The only thing that it needs done is the blower motor to the front defrost and heater re-wired.
Bottom-line is that I don't have the time or money to finish this project and I have two other Cruiser. I will be listing a 1973 FJ 40 in a week or two. I have over $12,000 invested in this project and know I'm going to lose money but I need to sell ASAP. I will help arrange shipment and would even consider delivery for right price if close enough. BUYER PAYS ALL SHIPPING COST!
Please feel free to e-mail or call with questions. I'm going to my storage lot today to take more pictures so if you are SERIOUS and want to see more I will have them.

Toyota highlights JDM Mark X with special Yellow Label edition
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Never heard of the Toyota Mark X? That's because the Japanese automaker only sells it in its home market (and in China as the Reiz). It's a rear-drive (or all-wheel-drive) sports sedan about the size of a Lexus IS, whose existence is probably why Toyota will never bring the Mark X to North America. The current model has been on the market since 2009, but Toyota is rolling out a series of updates - including the new Yellow Label model pictured here.
Available on the 250G, 250G Four and 250G S trim levels, the Yellow Label gets a special shade of Awaken Yellow paint (though it can be had in black, white or silver as well), with an interior decked out in either yellow or black. It also gets piano lacquer trim, yellow stitching, pink gold accents, special tread plates and other interior equipment upgrades, as well as a unique set of alloys. All of which makes the Toyota Mark X Yellow Label perfect for recreating scenes from Kill Bill without the need to squeeze into yellow leathers. (In fact we wouldn't be surprised to see Toyota doing just that for a promo clip.)
Power comes from a 2.5-liter V6 (and not the larger 3.5 available on the 350S model) channeled through a six-speed automatic to either the rear wheels or all four. Pricing ranges between 2.8 and 3.1 million yen (~$26-30k), representing a premium of about 106k yen ($1k) over non-yellow models. Toyota operates four distinct dealer networks in Japan, and the Mark X is sold through Toyopet stores.

Toyota Prius sales could come up short in 2013
Sat, 06 Jul 2013A Toyota executive has said that the automaker's hybrid Prius model may not reach its 2013 goal of selling 250,000 units in the US marketplace. Bill Fay, group vice president for Toyota's US sales, told Reuters, "The 240,000 to 250,000 range is kind of where we're settling our sights for the Prius family."
The first-generation Prius, a five-passenger model, was introduced to the States in 2001 (its arrival made it the second mass-produced hybrid, after the two-seat Honda Insight). The second-generation model arrived in 2004, followed by the current third-generation design that arrived for the 2010 model year. The automaker has subsequently added the Prius V, a hatchback wagon (shown above) and the Prius C, a subcompact hatchback. As of March, 2013, cumulative worldwide sales of the Prius had reached 3.67 million units.
Last year, Toyota sold 236,659 Prius models in the US. However, sales of the model have fallen 5.1 percent in the first six months of 2013. In response, the automaker has boosted its marketing for the model, and the promotions are expected to continue through at least July.
