1993 Toyota Lancruiser FJ80.

I recently purchased the landcruiser with the intent of building an expedition vehicle, but plans have changed. The vehicle has 277,000 miles on it, but is in overall descent shape for a 20 year old SUV. Green Exterior with black leather seats and Charcoal gray carpet. There are no major dents in the exterior; however, there are many nicks and small scratches in the paint as shown in the pictures. The leather is in pretty good condition. Drivers seat stitching has come loose on seat panel and seat corner.

All fluids have been recently changed, brakes checked, etc. The primary issue with the landcruiser is the EGR valve circuit. The landcruiser runs a bit rough when cold. The check engine light is on, and I've had it scanned and it gives an EGR code. When the engine is warm it runs and idles fine. I don't believe it is a major issue, and there are several online forums dedicated to bypassing or giving alternate fixes for the issue. When the vehicle is warm it drives fine and everything works as expected. 4x4 shifts easily and works properly. These were built very well like most Toyota products and I expect it has a lot of life left in it.

The Landcruiser also has a Brush guard and Towing package. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it several hours, but I'd recommend getting the EGR valve issue sorted out. My reserve price reflects the problems listed.

Toyota FCV Concept comes one step closer to reality

When Toyota first conceptualized a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle for mainstream Americans to drive, the initial response was pretty skeptical. Still, through relentless engineering and solid product after solid product, Toyota has built the Prius brand into the dominant force in the hybrid car market.
Something like that plan of attack is what the Japanese company is preparing for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well, and that attack is seeing a critical salvo fired today with the debut of this FCV Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Though there's nothing substantive to be said about rumors of a 300-mile range or a sticker price around $50,000, the FCV concept does offer a few technical details. The sharp-beaked concept makes use of two high-pressure hydrogen tanks and boasts a power output density of three kilowatts per liter.

BMW i5 could get Toyota-sourced hydrogen power

It's starting to feel like the automotive landscape is right on the cusp of a boom in hydrogen-fueled vehicles. After all, the Toyota FCV is nearly ready, Volkswagen is readying a fuel cell concept for this week's Los Angeles Auto Show and Hyundai already sells its Tucson Fuel Cell. The next big name to add to that list might be BMW, as the company's co-development deal with Toyota starts to bear fruit.
According to Autocar, BMW may use a version of the fuel cell system from the Toyota FCV in the future i5. As part of its eco-oriented i sub-brand, the i5 is expected to be a stretched version of the i3 (pictured above) with extra rear legroom and cargo space. It's unclear at the moment whether a battery-powered pure electric powertrain will also be available. If accurate, then the rumor could give the Bavarian brand a counterattack against Mercedes-Benz' planned fuel cell vehicle in 2017.
BMW and Toyota first signed the memorandum of understanding to co-develop fuel cells, lightweight technology and a sports car back in 2012, and they made the arrangement official in late 2013. So far, few details on the progress of the work have been disclosed, but the performance model has been rumored to use a front-engine, all-wheel drive layout with supercapacitors.

Toyota recalling 11,200 Scion iQ models over faulty passenger sensors

Toyota has announced a voluntary recall of 11,200 Scion iQ models from the 2012 and 2013 model years. According to the manufacturer, the problem with these pint-sized hatchbacks concerns the front passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) weight sensor cables.
The OCS sensors in the front passenger seat control the operation of things like the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner. In these affected models, the cables for these sensors located in the seat track can become damaged as the passenger seat slides forward and backward. And if the cables are damaged, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner may not function properly.
No injuries or crashes have been reported in conjunction with this issue.
