You can't get a more capable rig. I personally drove this vehicle from Paris, France to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and am 100% confident in its abilities. These rigs are hard to find, especially in this type of condition. This Land Cruiser preformed flawlessly for over 11,000 miles of driving and now it's back in the states ready for a new owner.

We've spend over $1,000 and countless hours getting it ready to sell. We're selling it because the charity doesn't have another expedition planed and we really can't justify a Land Cruiser as a "company" car.

Background:

We purchased the rig last March for $14,000 and put an additional $3,500 into it getting ready for the expedition. We added a 2" Old Man Emu suspension lift and an ARB roof rack. We also went through the engine and drive-train, and other systems with a fine tooth comb to make sure they were in excellent shape. The LC drives very well and is quiet.

The video below shows the Cruiser in action:

You'll notice the only issues are cosmetic with a few bumps along the back gate -- one of our drivers backed into some shrubs/trees during a sand storm -- but that driver will remain nameless :). There is a 2" tear in the leather in the 2nd row seat when someone had to get to the last cold drink from the fridge and didn't realize the lid was up tight against the leather. Also there is some carpet staining on the rear lift door but other than that the rig is ready for another jaunt around the world. We've left the window decals in place because people really seem to like them. But they can be removed easily if desired.

Please call or text with any questions. Also, the tires in the picture are not included. The tires will be 4 90% new Big O AT (16") tires. If you want the 4 Toyo M/T tires as seen int the picture please add 1k to the price. Lastly, I reserve the right to terminate this listing for any reason and at any time.

2014 Toyota Tundra gets five grades priced from $25,920*

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Toyota has announced pricing details for its refreshed 2014 Tundra, with the fullsize pickup offered in five grades. Naturally, that doesn't include the buyer's choice of three cab styles, the option of two- or four-wheel drive, and a choice of a 4.0-liter V6 base engine or 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8s.
The base SR starts at $25,920, while the volume SR5 model starts at $29,465. Toyota notes that all SR5s ordered with the big V8 hold the line on pricing from 2013 while including a further $650 in standard equipment. The first of three high-end trims, Limited, starts at $36,940, while the Platinum and 1794 Edition both start at $44,270, with all prices subject to a $995 destination charge. Also noteworthy on the cost-savings front, Limited CrewMax 4x4 models are priced $2,000 less than their 2013 equivalents, (4x2 buyers save $1,900).
As is typical for a model as as customizable as a pickup, Toyota's pricing structure is far from simple. Adding the 5.7-liter V8 at one trim level can cost several hundred dollars more or less than another trim level - the same goes for adding four-wheel drive. So, rather than break out the Enigma Machine to try and decipher what options cost what on which trim, we've just rolled the whole pricing chart in. Scroll down for a look, including Toyota's full press release, and then check out our recent First Drive feature of the truck.

Toyota sudden acceleration class action may cover 22 million owners

Thu, 16 May 2013

A total of 22.6 million current and former Toyota owners have been sent notices that they may be eligible to receive compensation from the automaker for damages related to the unintended acceleration fiasco that has dominated headlines in 2009 and 2010. The total payout may be as high as $1.63 billion, according to The Detroit News.
Steve Berman, a lawyer for the owners, calls the potential deal "a landmark, if not a record, settlement in automobile defects class action litigation in the United States." Still, there's some debate about whether or not Toyota's proposed settlement is fair, as it includes $30 million for safety research and driver education programs - in other words, Toyota seems to be suggesting that drivers need more education on how to drive their correctly working and fully functional vehicles. For those keeping track, Toyota would also be paying lawyer fees of $200 million.
A US District Judge in California is scheduled to hold a so-called "fairness hearing" on June 14 that could decide the fate of this particular settlement. Further courtroom wrangling will be required to hash out any wrongful death suits levied against Toyota stemming from unintended acceleration claims, as those are not part of this class-action suit.

First 2014 Toyota Corolla commercial dances through time

Sat, 07 Sep 2013

Despite the fact that the Toyota Corolla pretty much sells itself, the eleventh-generation 2014 model is getting a huge marketing push that aims to appeal to both Millennials (of course), as well as the older generations that have lived with the stalwart Japanese compact for decades. The first television advertising spot, called, "Style Never Goes Out of Style," shows that the Corolla has had a place in mainstream culture since its launch in the 1960s. We have to admit, it's pretty cool to see older models from the '60s, '70s and '80s come out to play for this commercial, especially the latter of those, as it gives us enthusiasts fond memories of the infamous AE86.
The whole web/broadcast/print/social media marketing campaign surrounding the 2014 Corolla is called "Elevate," because, according to Toyota:
Extensive market research shows that Millennials are looking to take their career to the next level and are looking to buy their first 'real' car to get them there. The design of the all-new Corolla is significantly elevated from the previous generations, creating a more dynamic and desirable image for the Corolla nameplate that will appeal to these younger buyers.
