2003 Toyota Matrix. No Reserve!!! on 2040-cars

Year:2003 Mileage:139500
Location:

Fort Bragg, North Carolina, United States

Fort Bragg, North Carolina, United States

I'm moving to the west coast, and I physically can move just one car. I'm driving my truck, and I'm selling my Matrix. This is the only reason I'm selling it.
This is a great car; very spacious, and very good on gas. I drive this car daily, so mileage will be slightly different.
The car has remote start installed (starts engine from 250-300 m no problem).
I take care of my cars, so this one is in good mechanical condition. I change engine oil every 3 000 miles, and I do inspection every 3 months.
The engine oil has been changed 1000 miles ago.
Last major maintenance about 6 month ago by Toyota Dealership (I've got all paperwork):
- new plugs
- new radiator
- coolant fluid change
- new starter
- new valve cover gaskets
- top engine fuel induction service
- power flush injectors
- new water pump belt
- transmission flush service
- ATT fluid change
- new tensioner
- new wiper blades
I had no reason to sell my car, so I invested more than $1000 in the car's health.

This is NO RESERVE auction. That means this is your chance to buy a good car for a good  price.
I don't have time to relist my car, so please serious buyers only!!! Please pay $500 deposit IMMEDIATELY after the auction!
If you can not or don't want to follow my rules, don't bid!

You are welcome to inspect the car, or/and ask as many questions as you want BEFORE the end of the Auction. When the bidding is over it's time to pay.
I'll help with shipping, however it's your responsibility and expenses. Good Luck!

Toyota will steer clear of driverless cars

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

Toyota executives say the company's primary focus is on safety. At least for the time being, that means the company won't pursue development of a driverless car.
Speaking at the company's advanced safety seminar in Ypsilanti, MI, Thursday morning, Seigo Kuzumaki, Toyota's deputy chief safety technology officer, said that Toyota envisions a future driving environment that optimizes the best of both humans and computers, not choosing one over the other.
"Toyota's main objective is safety, so it will not be developing a driverless car." - Seigo Kuzumaki

2014 Toyota Highlander greets the world with NYC debut

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Toyota has pulled the wraps off its all-new, 2014 Highlander in New York this morning, giving Americans a first look at what is sure to be a heavyweight in the mid-size crossover segment.
The new third-generation Highlander will come with the buyer's choice of three different powertrain options. The base model will be powered by a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel-drive. Next up the ladder is a 3.5-liter V6, also mated to the 6AT, which can be had with either front-or all-wheel-drive. Finally, the Highlander Hybrid will be equipped with all-wheel drive, its 3.5-liter V6 mated to an electric motor, all hooked up to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The automaker has not released any specs for fuel economy or output yet, though we're promised increases in both power and efficiency.
While not a revolution in terms of styling, Toyota has cleaned up the bodywork for the new model, offering a crisp, conservative look for the slightly larger Highlander. The vehicle is some three inches longer and an inch-and-a-half wider than the outgoing model, yet it has a lower roofline. Black plastic-clad wheel arches make an attempt to butch up the crossover, though to our eyes, the Highlander still has the look of a minivan around the rear view.

Toyota unintended acceleration lawsuit settled for $16M

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Slowly, the many loose threads still dangling after the unintended acceleration issue Toyota faced a few years ago are being resolved. The Orange County District Attorney's office was believed to be the first DA's office to take Toyota to court, its suit alleging that Toyota knew its cars had defects and continued to sell them. The suit sought to "permanently enjoin Toyota from continued unlawful, unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices as it pertains to both consumers and competitors" and asked for $2,500 "for every violation of the Unfair Business Practices Act," plus costs.
That suit has now been settled, Toyota - without admitting fault or wrongdoing - agreeing to pay $16 million to the county. Half of the money will go to the Orange County Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership, another four million dollars to the OC DA's office to investigate economic crime, the remaining four million being used to pay for the case.
