2006 Prius-package #8-lowmiles-burl Wood-navigation- Leather- One Owner on 2040-cars
Venice, California, United States
I loved this car so much ! But I finally decided to treat myself to a new luxury car. I hope my Prius goes to a good home. I always took the Prius to Marina Del Rey Toyota for recommended maintenance. The Prius has lived in sunny California all its life and has been garaged. I have all the maintenance records, manuals, hang tags, and the original window sticker. The tires I put on have increased the milage I get and these seem much sturdier than the Goodyear tires that came with the car. There are some cosmetic flaws from regular wear and tear, but the car is in great shape and is incredibly reliable as the paperwork will show you. The car has the highest package available at that time: Package #8 - cost at time of purchase$6,890 Rear camera parking distance sensors; Smart card/smart key; includes central locking ; includes ignition starter; Card key power locks; JBL audio system 6-disc in-dash CD changer; (reads MP3 format) & Nine speakers: Front and rear curtain airbag& Front side airbag; Stability control; Anti-theft protection : Garage door opener &Coming home device; Bluetooth hands-free cellular phone; Xenon headlights & Front fog lights; Navigation system with full map and voice & Voice activating system for phone and navigation system; Leather upholstery & Leather-trimmed, steering wheel; Auto-dimming rear view mirror; Auxiliary Audio Input Regarding warranty: The toyota dealership sent me an explanation (please see photos for your reference). Please contact Toyota for details . IT says California Emission Warranty on Hybrid Vehicle Battery is 10 years or 150,000 miles |

Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"
Incoming Toyota chairman wants a Supra successor
Fri, 14 Jun 2013We'd venture to guess that in recent years, there have probably been almost as many rumors swirling about a Toyota Supra successor than there have been for a mid-engine Corvette. (Case in point: the speculative renderings we came across a few years ago, pictured above.) While we don't expect the Corvette's recipe to change drastically any time soon, it looks like a Supra - or more appropriately a Supra-like car - could be closer than we think.
First, there was an announcement of a BMW-Toyota joint venture. Said venture would, among other things, "Set up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle."
Upping chances even further, a new Automotive News report claims that incoming Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada wants a vehicle "comparable" to the Supra. Clearly there are a lot of parties that want a new Supra to happen - to say nothing of enthusiasts - but Uchiyamada might be just the guy to get it done. None of this is proof positive of an impending Supra, to be sure, but winds do seem favorable.
Toyota restructuring US operations, possibly moving to Texas
Sun, 27 Apr 2014According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, Toyota is poised to announce Monday that it is restructuring its US operations, which may include plans to relocate some of its operations to Texas. Toyota Motor Sales has been located in California since 1957, and is responsible for North American sales, marketing, and distribution for Toyota, Lexus and Scion. According to Toyota literature, its Torrance operations presently employs 6,156 workers and represents a $2.3-billion investment.
Workers in Toyota's Torrance offices were abuzz about the possible relocation to Texas. One young offspring of a Toyota employee even posted to Twitter that her parents warned about the upcoming move, and she said she's refusing to go.
Rumors at one point had Toyota settling in Richardson, TX, just outside Plano. But Autoblog talked to Richardson Mayor Laura Maczka, who said she would be thrilled if that were true, but has not heard anything on the subject. Autoblog also emailed with Bill Sutherland, a city councilman in Torrance, CA, who said, "To date the only info I have is what I have read in the paper expecting a press release Monday."
