Here I have a nice 2007 Toyota Prius with 184k that runs out very well.

Mechanically this Prius is solid. Hybrid system charges and assists just as it should. Tires have about 70% tread left. Drives great down the road with no pulsing or pulling. Brakes feel good. A/C is ice cold. Has a backup camera. Seems to have been well cared for mechanically.

Cosmetically it's nice as well. Paint shines nice in the sun. Body is straight with the exception of a door ding or two. Has your typical light scratch here and there but overall nice for the year and miles. Has a couple nicks on the rear bumper and a couple scratches that have been touched up. Interior is nice and clean and not all wore out. Hasn't been smoked in.

Overall this is a nice Prius. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 717-823-3349. My name is Zach. I am only human and may have missed something that is important to you so please ask any questions before buying. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction. I sell 40 or so of these a year so I know them very well. If you would like to take a look at it please call and set up an appointment. Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000

    Sat, 05 Jan 2013

After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.

GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup

    Fri, 18 Apr 2014

The path to become a racing driver is a difficult one. It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.

Watch a Toyota Highlander ram a house, twice

    Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Toyota has had plenty of problems in recent years due to claims of unintended acceleration, and now here's a video that actually catches such a claim on video. The driver of this 2010-2013 Toyota Highlander claims that the crossover's accelerator got stuck causing the vehicle to slam into the house twice, and resulting in damage to the Highlander, the house and two vehicles inside the garage. While we don't know when this accident took place, the video was uploaded to YouTube back in January.
It is impossible to determine what actually happened in this video, but what we do know is that a security camera captures the Highlander slowly pulling into the driveway before it lunges forward slamming into the garage. With the tires squealing and metal crunching, the driver then shifts between reverse and drive a couple times causing even more property damage before spinning out in the street and finally being able to shift into Park. Scroll down to see the video for yourself. Whether unintended acceleration or driver error, this was undoubtedly a harrowing ordeal.
