I bought this car two years ago and I am the third owner. has been running great and the services I did is as follows:
1. front disc+pads
2. 4 sets of brand new all season tires. (used only for 6K miles, the tire has 70K average life according to its spec. thus it is almost new.)
3. exhaust system fixed.
4. spark plug changed.
5. wiper blades changed this winter.
in total I spent around a thousand dollars on the items above. car is in excellent mechanical condition and in good body condition. plus, I've always used high mileage synthetic Mobil oil, a VERY expensive oil (check the price, over 50$ just the oil price.)
I put only 6K miles on it which makes it a 213K miles car. yes it is a high milage car but if you are into buying a Toyota RAV4, you know they last forever.
Engine check light has occasionally tuned on, checked with mechanic and they said it has something to do with the oxygen sensor, so nothing of an issue and has been like that since I bough the car and has a very low average mileage of around 24 MPG.
car has no history of crash, etc. (clean title) and only minor dents here and there around the car and for its age, it has almost least possible rust. (not major one, small ones)
car options include:
automatic transmission
roof rack
air condition
radio+cassette+CD changer
power lock system (without remote though)
power mirror
towing gears
rear privacy glass
(also cruise control, that needs to be fixed, its keys are broken, shouldn't be an expensive fix. if you are a handy man I guess you can rewire it yourself...)
PLEASE DO COME, SEE, DRIVE, and then decide if you are willing to buy. I did my best to describe the car, yet you should come and see for yourself, for example, you should personally check those small dents and rusts, since I noticed they are not visible in the picture.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?
Fri, 09 Nov 2012We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.
180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
