Toyota Rav4 LTD, 50,338 miles, one owner (purchased at Mike Erdman Toyota, Merritt Island, FL). Near exceptional condition, I have kept up with maintenance. Minor damage to front running light when I grazed a deer (he scampered away unhurt!) is being repaired and no other accidents. No dents or dings and paint is in very good shape. Smoke free. Have kept it washed and waxed, and drove it gently! Excellent power for a FWD vehicle, with its 6 cylinder, 3.5L engine. 19/27 mpg. Many extras such as tilt/opening moon-roof, luggage rack, 4 nearly new tires (just put them on this past winter, and they're 80k mile Coopers). Hill-start assist, Downhill assist, power outlets, blue tooth, split fold down rear seats, heated front driver and passenger seats, leather interior in excellent condition (no rips, tears, or worn spots), spotless engine compartment, outstanding sound system with multi-disc CD player w/steering wheel controls, and mp-3 connect. JBL speaker system. Cold air and warm heat. Front and side air-bags. Wireless remote smart key system. Engine immobilizer theft deterrent system. ABS brakes. Clean/clear title. Details about next-gen Toyota Prius emerge
Tue, 28 Jan 2014The Toyota Prius is undeniably the king of the hybrid market in the United States, with a 39.4 percent market share in 2013. With the next-generation Prius likely to go on sale in 2015, Toyota is trying to build an even more efficient hybrid to keep its control of the market.
Keeping cost down will be one of the major concerns of the new Prius. The next generation will ride on the new, modular Toyota New Global Architecture platform. The lighter underpinnings will improve efficiency and will reduce production costs by allowing for more shared components among vehicles. Toyota will not reveal how many vehicles will use the new platform. But even with the cheaper platform, price will remain a concern. Toyota is still deciding whether all versions of the next Prius will use lithium-ion batteries or whether some models will stick with the heavier nickel-metal hydride batteries to keep cost down.
Of course, the reason most people buy the Prius is because of its great fuel efficiency. Toyota will aim for at least an 8 percent improvement in fuel economy in the next Prius, which would increase it to 58 miles per gallon city and 52 mpg highway.
Toyota to recall 185k cars globally, including Yaris
Thu, 04 Jul 2013Toyota has announced it is recalling a total of 185,000 vehicles worldwide for a power steering issue. Yaris and (overseas) Vitz models built between November 2010 and March 2012 could suffer a short circuit in their power steering control module if water gets inside. Should that happen, the power steering could fail, increasing effort when turning. The recall also includes the Verso-S and Ractis built from August 2010 to August 2011. The recall covers 130,000 vehicles in Japan and around 22,450 in Europe.
Only 74 units are being recalled in the United States.
Toyota says if the fault occurs, the vehicle will display the Electronic Power Steering warning light on the dash and a buzzer will sound. The automaker will alert owners by mail and dealers will replace the power steering control module free of charge. You can read the quick press release on the recall below for more information.
Manga stylized Toyota Aygo takes on Godzilla

We're not sure the Toyota Aygo is necessarily one of them as much as, say, the Scion FR-S or Lexus LFA (especially since it's actually made in Europe), but for many Nipponophiles, the centuries-old artistic discipline of Manga certainly is. And now the two have come together in this two-and-a-half-minute animated short.
In Toyota's own take on the classic narrative, an Aygo animated by celebrated artist Sonia Leong takes on Godzilla. As in, a giant lizard rampaging through a Japanese city, not the Nissan GT-R, against which the little Toyota would certainly stand even less of a chance by any metric other than affordability, fuel economy or ability to park in tight spots.
