One owner! This vehicle was purchased new in Arizona, and spent most of its life in Arizona minus the last three years. Once we moved to Indiana, it’s been garaged for most winters.  We absolutely love this car, have had no mechanical issues with it. It has the typical reliability of a Toyota. Simply looking to downsize to a smaller sedan.

Very good condition! No mechanical issues. Easy fixes: a driver's side power door lock (all other doors lock with power feature, driver's side locks manually) and rear window power button not currently working. Superficial scratch along one side (please see photos), and some superficial small chips in the paint. One small repair to the rear bumper.  Interior is beautiful. Just some scuffing in rear cargo area from normal use. Also some faint tiny spots on front dash where the wrong detailing product was used, but this is barely noticeable. No smells or hard wear. Smoke free, pet free, kid free. Well cared for!

This vehicle is available for pick-up only in Central Indiana/ Indianapolis. Payment by secure funds transfer. Deposit of $500 payable through paypal required within 48 hours upon completion of winning bid.

Toyota sells 3-millionth Prius

Sun, 07 Jul 2013

Three generations in sixteen years and more than three million units sold worldwide - as of the end of June, those are the stats on the Toyota Prius. Even though Toyota says Prius sales might not reach the goal of 250,000 units this year, the little hybrid that could still doesn't have any problem flying off dealer lots. The second-generation Prius sold 1.2 million examples in its eight-year lifespan, and the third generation, introduced in 2009, has sold 1.7 million examples in just four years.
Toyota is also touting its investment in future powertrains, some 790 billion yen ($7.9 billion US) on research and development into new platforms and components, and "environmental technology development."
The press release below has more details, the future undoubtedly has more Priuses Prii in it.

Toyota Prius + gets refresh in UK, is it coming here?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Toyota has unveiled a mid-cycle refresh of its seven-passenger, UK-market Prius +, known here in the US as the five-passenger Prius V. The revised hybrid MPV now boasts looks inspired by Toyota's more aggressive compact stylings as seen on its new Yaris and Aygo - particularly in the redone front fascia.
The new LED headlights are the most obvious change, sporting a sharper style, while the vertical slats that bookend front fascia are much larger and deeper, and are now home to LED running lights. The lower grille is also newly enlarged and trimmed in black plastic. Changes out back are far less noticeable, with the biggest tweak being a new diffuser that's been integrated into the rear bumper.
The interior gets a light freshening, too, with fresh trimmings around the switchgear, as well as a new 4.2-inch TFT display in the center mounted instrument cluster. The latter includes a new "Eco Judge" function designed to help owners drive more efficiently through a point-based reward system.

Watch a Toyota Highlander ram a house, twice

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Toyota has had plenty of problems in recent years due to claims of unintended acceleration, and now here's a video that actually catches such a claim on video. The driver of this 2010-2013 Toyota Highlander claims that the crossover's accelerator got stuck causing the vehicle to slam into the house twice, and resulting in damage to the Highlander, the house and two vehicles inside the garage. While we don't know when this accident took place, the video was uploaded to YouTube back in January.
It is impossible to determine what actually happened in this video, but what we do know is that a security camera captures the Highlander slowly pulling into the driveway before it lunges forward slamming into the garage. With the tires squealing and metal crunching, the driver then shifts between reverse and drive a couple times causing even more property damage before spinning out in the street and finally being able to shift into Park. Scroll down to see the video for yourself. Whether unintended acceleration or driver error, this was undoubtedly a harrowing ordeal.
