2000 Toyota Solara Se Coupe 2-door 2.2l - Md. Inspected! Great Car! Low Reserve! on 2040-cars
Davidsonville, Maryland, United States
You are bidding on a 2000 Toyota Camry Solara LE with
a well-maintained 114k miles. It sailed right through Maryland inspection. It will need very little repaired or replaced. The engine
is very strong and peppy with extremely good gas mileage - somewhere in
the mid-30’s. The transmission shifts
100% through all gears. The oil has just
been changed. A/C blows cold. Power windows function properly. The paint is in great shape. There are very few scratches, dents or dings as you might
expect for a car of this year. The interior is in great condition with very little signs of wear. The seats and carpet are in great shape. Tires have about 70% tread left. Brakes and rotors are also in very good
shape. Issues to address: Nothing to report. I just had the manifold exhaust flex pipe repaired (a typical issue for Toyota's of this vintage). Overall, this is a great car with years
of service left for the next owner, already inspected and ready to go. This
vehicle is being offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles. If you are new to Ebay or if you have fewer
than 4 transactions, please contact me prior to bidding for approval to bid or
I will cancel your bid immediately.
There is a $125 documentation fee in addition to the final selling
price. A $500 non-refundable deposit is
required via Paypal within 48 hours of auction close. Transaction must be
completed within 7 days of auction end (full payment and pick-up arrangements
at least). I have done my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as
possible. Once purchased, this car can
be driven anywhere in the country without issue. Contact me via email with any
questions. Please bid with confidence and good luck. |

Subaru to stop building Camry for Toyota in the US
Fri, 09 May 2014It was back in 2007 that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, under contract from Subaru minority shareholder Toyota, built the first Toyota Camry at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Rumblings of the end of that contract work have been around for a while, as Subaru talked of expanding capacity to build more units and add a line for the Impreza, and Toyota talked of moving Camry production to its Georgetown, KY plant. The news was official internally last November when SIA Executive Vice President Tom Easterday told the Louisville Courier-Journal that Camry production would end. Now, Automotive News reports that both automakers have admitted publicly that the end will come in 2016.
SIA currently has a 170,000-unit capacity devoted to the home-brand Legacy and Outback models, while a $400-million expansion increases that to 300,000 units to prepare the facility for Impreza production in two years. Freeing up the 100,000 units of production devoted to the Camry means a 400,000-unit capability, which is far more than Subaru needs at the moment, but the Toyota exit will allow it to expand any way it sees fit. Subaru has said it will absorb the workers on the Camry line and no jobs will be lost, the mayor of Lafayette saying the development could change the timetable for the expansion.
2014 Toyota Tundra gets five grades priced from $25,920*
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Toyota has announced pricing details for its refreshed 2014 Tundra, with the fullsize pickup offered in five grades. Naturally, that doesn't include the buyer's choice of three cab styles, the option of two- or four-wheel drive, and a choice of a 4.0-liter V6 base engine or 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8s.
The base SR starts at $25,920, while the volume SR5 model starts at $29,465. Toyota notes that all SR5s ordered with the big V8 hold the line on pricing from 2013 while including a further $650 in standard equipment. The first of three high-end trims, Limited, starts at $36,940, while the Platinum and 1794 Edition both start at $44,270, with all prices subject to a $995 destination charge. Also noteworthy on the cost-savings front, Limited CrewMax 4x4 models are priced $2,000 less than their 2013 equivalents, (4x2 buyers save $1,900).
As is typical for a model as as customizable as a pickup, Toyota's pricing structure is far from simple. Adding the 5.7-liter V8 at one trim level can cost several hundred dollars more or less than another trim level - the same goes for adding four-wheel drive. So, rather than break out the Enigma Machine to try and decipher what options cost what on which trim, we've just rolled the whole pricing chart in. Scroll down for a look, including Toyota's full press release, and then check out our recent First Drive feature of the truck.
Tesla now California's top automotive employer
Fri, 16 May 2014Tesla has knocked off Toyota as the biggest auto employer in the state of California, employing over 6,000 people to the Japanese company's 5,300. That lead is only likely to grow, as the EV manufacturer prepares to add another 500 jobs by the end of the year, and as Toyota begins its relocation to its new North American headquarters in Texas. The news comes barely a week after the company announced a $50 million loss during the first quarter of 2014.
Tesla's statewide employment could be set to double, beyond even 6,500 people, if it follows through on rumors to construct its eagerly awaited gigafactory in the Golden State. The $5-billion venture could add another 6,500 employees, making Tesla not just the largest automotive employer in the state, but making it one of the largest employers in the state full stop.
The investment of Tesla and its founder (and real-life Tony Stark), Elon Musk, has been substantial. The company has added 3,000 employees in the state since 2013, reopening the Toyota and General Motors joint-venture factory that use to be known as NUMMI in 2009 and constructing a design studio in Los Angeles, all in addition to its Palo Alto headquarters.
