Up for sale is a very clean 2006 Toyota Solara SE 2 door coupe.

4 Cyl 2.4 L Engine gets GREAT GAS MILEAGE!

White with tan cloth interior. Power seat and windows with sunroof.

My wife bought this car brand new in 2006 and has been the only owner.

We just had a brand new battery ($110) installed and a brand new Alternator ($600) installed about 3 weeks ago.
The engine runs perfect with absolutely no known problems.  This car has never given us any problems besides the alternator recently going out.
I would have no worries driving this car anywhere in the USA today.

A complete brake job was done on this car about a year ago on all 4 wheels ($1250)

A brand new set of tires ($800) were put on in mid 2013 and have about 80 - 90% tread left.

All scheduled service has been maintained throughout the life of this car.

There are a few scuffs, scratches, and small dings here and there but no major damage and has never been in any wrecks.
I have a clean Carfax printout on this car.

Never been smoked in.  Overall, this vehicle is in excellent shape for an 8 year old car.
Clear title in hand.

Just had a $100 professional detail done and ready for you to drive home in today.

This vehicle is located in NW Houston.  Car is available for pickup from me.  Any shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Toyota mulling more Tundra, Tacoma capacity in TX

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

Toyota may be expanding its pickup truck production at its San Antonio, TX factory following calls from dealers for more Tacoma and Tundra models, according to a new report from Automotive News.
The San Antonio plant is currently able to produce 250,000 trucks on two shifts with overtime, while a secondary facility in Tijuana, Mexico can build an extra 50,000 Tacomas. Despite this capacity, and the fact that Tundra is a slow seller relative to the full-size trucks from Ford, Ram and Chevrolet/GMC (not to mention the Tacoma being part of a segment with diminishing sales), Toyota franchisees apparently can't get enough of the trucks.
"Dealers are telling us they could sell more Tacomas and Tundras," said Bill Fay, the general manager of the Toyota Division. "We are evaluating our footprint and capacity." According to AN, Toyota has moved over 248,000 trucks through November.

Toyota profits up 23% on high US sales, despite mounting legal costs

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Toyota earned $9.3 billion in net income in the financial year that ends next month. The number beats earlier forecasts and marks a five-year high for the automaker, with both operating income and revenue up by 9.5 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively. Toyota saw quarterly profit enjoy a year-on-year jump of 23.4 percent, with the manufacturer earning more than $1 billion between October and December 2012. The good news comes in spite of the fact that the Japanese automaker actually endured an operating loss in North America, due in part to legal fees.
Toyota is set to pay more than $1 billion to owners who claim their vehicles decreased in value as a result of the company's recent spate of recalls. Even so, all three of the automaker's brands enjoyed a 13.5 percent sales increase in the US in the last quarter, beating the industry average. Toyota faltered in Europe, however, where it earned $99 million in operating profit last year, compared to $111 million in 2011. You can take a closer look at the company's full press release below for more information.

Toyota FCV Concept comes one step closer to reality

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

When Toyota first conceptualized a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle for mainstream Americans to drive, the initial response was pretty skeptical. Still, through relentless engineering and solid product after solid product, Toyota has built the Prius brand into the dominant force in the hybrid car market.
Something like that plan of attack is what the Japanese company is preparing for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well, and that attack is seeing a critical salvo fired today with the debut of this FCV Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Though there's nothing substantive to be said about rumors of a 300-mile range or a sticker price around $50,000, the FCV concept does offer a few technical details. The sharp-beaked concept makes use of two high-pressure hydrogen tanks and boasts a power output density of three kilowatts per liter.
