Toyota, Soarer, 5 Speed, Jdm, Rhd, Right Hand Drive, Twin Turbo, Bbs, Supra on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
This is 100 percent legal 1986 Toyota Soarer (model gz20). It was legally registered through the state of texas under the 25 year rule with all proper documentation for import and from japan. VIN number is gz200011055. I am unable to input it ebay since japanese VIN numbers are shorter, because of that I had to input it as a 1980 when it is a 1986. It has the factory twin turbo inline six engine (1g-gte) and manual transmission (w57) . It has been very well taken care of. It only 99,243 kilometers (61,500 miles). It has been garage kept since it was imported, started once a week, and driven on sunny days only. It is a definite head turner. People love to see it on the road. Whether you keep this classic completely original or if you put a 1jzgte or 2jzgte in it, it sure to be the car that grabs attention. The paint is perfect and interior is great as well. The center console armrest could stand to be reupholstered and mirror trim has some cracks which was common for this model. Other than its in great shape. It has 3 piece 17" bbs wheels that match the style and date of the soarer. As I mentioned it has the original 1g-gte with w57 gearbox, with factory LSD, factory front mount intercooler, HKS boost controller, boost guage, tein coil over suspension, Trust brand stainless exhaust, kouki headlamps grill and bumper, Nardi steering wheel, factory digital combination meter which looks really cool, electronic folding mirrors, hydraulic hood supports, 12 disc cd changer (aftermarket). This Soarer was really ahead of it's time with all the options it has. Nothing in the US in 1986 has as many creature comforts and options as this Soarer. Side note- It does not have a sunroof, so for the taller drivers this is an extra two inches of head room for you. I do have the adapter brackets to mount a 1jzgte or 2jzgte into the soarer plus a J series bell housing for the w57. I can include these in the deal if interested.
Good luck bidding. Please ask questions if you are serious and have the funds. You must arrange pick up of the vehicle. I will help with meeting the transport for pick up of course. I am asking 500.00 deposit within 48 hours and the rest of the payment at my bank. If you aren't able to come here then the rest of the payment can be through paypal. Contact me first if we are going to use paypal for full price. Thank you. |

2014 Toyota 4Runner priced at $32,820*
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Toyota has announced pricing on its facelifted 2014 4Runner. The rough-and-tumble SUV will be available in three grades: base SR5, upmarket Limited and off-road-ready Trail. Depending on the trim level, buyers will have the choice of rear-drive or one of two different four-wheel drive systems. The sole engine is Toyota's 4.0-liter, 270-horsepower V6.
Entry-level buyers can get an SR5 for $32,820. That includes 17-inch wheels, fabric seats and Toyota's Entune infotainment system. Adding four-wheel drive bumps the price by $2,920, while the Premium Package (SofTex faux leather seats, navigation, sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors and power passenger seat) adds $1,875. All model prices listed do not include $860 for destination and tax.
The Trail starts at $35,725, while the Trail Premium bumps the price to $38,645, adding the same suite of equipment found on the SR5. While it boasts the same standard equipment as the SR5, the Trail is better suited for going off road. A multi-terrain response system comes standard, as does hill-start assist and Toyota's Crawl Control. For an extra sum, buyers can opt for the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, which automatically disconnects the sway bars for better articulation and trail holding.
Toyota Camry incentives and fleet sales cranked to keep sales crown, insiders worried
Mon, 01 Jul 2013We've been watching for some time now as Toyota has piled more incentives on the hood of its Camry sedan, and Automotive News reports that the we're not the only ones with raised eyebrows. The current Camry hasn't even been on the market for two years, but the family sedan segment is more hotly contested than it has been in years. It's that high level of competition that has led the automaker to uncharacteristically add more money on the hood in order to assure it maintains its long-held title of America's Best-Selling Car, a mantle it has owned for a dozen years. It's ramping up fleet sales, too.
According to the analysts at TrueCar, Toyota has bumped incentives per unit every month this year, now totaling some $2,750 as of May, a 38-percent hike over this time last year. That's more spiff money than the segment's other best sellers, the Nissan Altima ($2,400), Ford Fusion ($2,300) and Honda Accord ($1,400), all of whom have actually decreased their incentive spend by 20- to 40-percent over the same period.
The ramp up in incentive spending and fleet sales has analysts concerned that Toyota will tarnish the Camry's historically sterling resale value. ALG pegs the 2013 Camry's current 36-month residual value at 54.4 percent, well ahead of the segment average's 50.9 percent (but shy of the Accord's 55.6 percent). However, analysts are concerned that as the current generation ages, their resale values will eventually plummet if incentives continue to increase as Toyota looks to keep the Camry's best-selling car crown going forward.
Toyota recalling FJ Cruiser due to excessively bright headlights
Sun, 05 May 2013Now, hold on. This recall isn't quite as serious as it sounds. Yes, Toyota is recalling 11,489 FJ Cruiser models from the 2007 to 2013 model years, and yes, it's because the vehicles, as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states, "fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, 'Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.'" But read the fine print and you'll see the catch: This recall is only for vehicles fitted with the automaker's auxiliary lighting kit that can be mounted to the front bumper.
Basically, the auxiliary lamp assemblies use 55-watt bulbs, and when these are turned on in conjunction with the upper beam headlamps, it's a pretty blinding sight. NHTSA states that excessively bright lights can blind other drivers, increasing the risk for a crash.
To remedy the situation, Toyota will replace the 55-watt bulbs with cooler 35-watt units. The recall is expected to begin later this month. Scroll down for the full details in the NHTSA report.
