Here is a very clean 1998 Toyota truck for sale!This is a NON-SMOKER truck! This truck was in Tenn. and fl. It has been in PA for less then 3 years. I undercoated it when I purchased it.It still looks very nice up underneath.It only has 89300 miles on it with lots of life left in it. I did put aftermarket cruise on it. The ac blows cold. I have 2 new tires on rims that go with it.The front were new this spring and the rear will need replaced soon.I also have an aluminum truck cap that goes with it. Everything works as it should. The paint is a little dual,but should buff to a shine. I may polish it by the time it sells. This is the factory finish with no paint work.It does have some minor chips. No evidence of any accidents. I am only selling it because I bought a new Toyota double cab 2wd.I bought this truck with 37217 mile on it.This is not a perfect truck but it is a very nice truck that will last a good long while!! Toyota Auris Touring Sports is a handsome Prius V alternative [w/videos]
Wed, 06 Mar 2013The Toyota Prius V has a lot to recommend it, but adventurous and sporty styling is not in its repertoire. That's why this new Auris Touring Sports has our attention. Claimed to be the "first full hybrid estate car" in the compact class, this two-box Auris has genuine visual panache to go with its load-lugging capability and parsimonious fuel economy. In the metal, we think its v-shaped grille and headlamp treatment acquits itself better than it does on the new RAV4, a model that shares its new design language.
Built by Toyota UK, the Auris Touring Sports hybrid is powered by a familiar-sounding 1.8-liter gas engine paired with an electric motor, with total system output quoted at 134 horsepower. The model will also be available in a variety of gas or diesel trims if you prefer your vehicle sans electrification (a non-hybrid model is shown). 2014 Toyota Corolla gets marginal IIHS small overlap crash test score [w/video]
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Toyota may have performed some major surgery on the 2014 Corolla, but that hasn't helped the Japanese automaker overcome tough new crash test procedures. The Corolla, Toyota's bread-and-butter compact sedan, managed only a Marginal score on the new small overlap crash test, which was just added last year.
Despite the low score, the Corolla performed well in the moderate overlap front, side, rollover and rear testing, which was enough to score it a 2013 Top Safety Pick. In testing in August, six of the Corolla's competitors earned the Top Safety Pick + award, for good or acceptable scores across the board.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Corolla's "Marginal" score was down to an "intruding structure," that could cause injuries to the lower left leg. There was also concern that in a collision, the driver's head would move after hitting the air bag, and collide with the A-pillar or dash.
Toyota says you might have the 40-millionth Corolla ever built
Sat, 07 Sep 2013The guy who bought the 50-millionth Toyota in the US got a free Camry and RAV4, but whoever in the world bought the 40-millionth Corolla in August gets a hearty "thank you" from the Japanese automaker. On sale since 1966, the Corolla is the best-selling nameplate in the world by a goodly margin (more than the Volkswagen Beetle and Ford Model T combined). So while you'd think that vehicle number 40 million would be sitting in a museum somewhere, Toyota can't even say in which country this milestone Corolla was sold, let alone to which customer.
One reason that Toyota is unsure where this Corolla was sold is the fact that the Corolla name itself is more than just the compact sedan sold in the US. On our shores alone, sales of the Matrix are lumped in with the Corolla, but around the world, numerous vehicles wear the Corolla name or share its platform.
