Up for sale is my 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad Edetion. I bought this truck brand new in October 2012 and due to some curveballs thrown my way in life I need to sell it. Its a non smoker, one owner, clear title. This is a truck identical to what would come off the showroom floor. Its MINT. Not a scratch or a ding anywhere on the vehicle. It just went in for its first scheduled service last month. I have only used the truck to commute to work and back. Its Black Pearl Metallic in color with the TRD Offroad package wich includes a rear differential lock, A-Trac, Bilstein Shocks, skid plates and much more including the towing package. Its a four door short bed with an 120v outlet in the bed, I have added a factory bed mat, an Access Limited roll up bed cover, and weather tech floor mats (originals included) and had the front windows tinted to match the rear. Its a very very sharp truck. It has the touch screen in dash CD player (non-entune) and a backup camera as well. Save your self a few thousand at the dealer and buy this one that is so close to brand new its rediculous. Cash in person or Cashiers check from a bank only. 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport
Tue, 16 Apr 2013"Oh yeah, Toyota still makes the Tacoma." Admit it, that's what you just said to yourself. It's a perfectly natural reaction, but the Tacoma has been quietly anchoring its segment for years, outselling every other compact pickup without making too much of a fuss. Toyota hasn't neglected the Tacoma - it was updated in 2012 with a revised nose and interior as the most noteable changes.
In a world awash with high-value fullsize pickups all vying for your attention, the Tacoma still charms more than a few buyers out of their cash. I hooked a Tacoma for a week to see whether it still has enough to recommend it.

Toyota Hilux successor spotted
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The midsize truck segment is suddenly seemingly exploding with new vehicles worldwide, even here in North America. Not only will the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon be available very soon, Toyota is already testing a replacement for its aging Tacoma and Honda has promised a Ridgeline replacement within the next 18 months. Also, the recently shown Nissan Navara is said to portend the future of our Frontier. Here's some more fresh evidence from Europe of this pickup boom with the next generation of its venerable Hilux in testing.
Thanks to Top Gear and sometimes the evening news, the Hilux has built a reputation of being able to go just about anywhere. According to out spy shooter, this particular pickup was spotted during hot weather testing in southern Europe. Interestingly, a Volkswagen Amarok was along for the ride as a benchmark. Because the VW tends to offer a bit more comfort than the generally utilitarian Hilux, this could indicate Toyota is considering taking the new truck in a slightly comfier, more refined direction.
Compared to the current model, this camouflaged tester sports a narrower front grille and headlights. The hood scoop is also absent here. The lower air dam also receives a more horizontal look, but the more vertical fog light housings provide some contrast. The crazy camouflage pattern makes things hard to discern at the rear, but the taillights appear to be more slender than they on the current model. Unfortunately, mechanical details about the new truck remain a mystery at the moment, but enjoy these spy shots as a preview of one more upcoming pickup.
177k Toyota Camry Hybrids being recalled for brake issue
Mon, 11 Aug 2014It looks like Consumer Reports might be getting part of what it wants regarding the Toyota Camry Hybrid and its braking system. Toyota is issuing what it calls a limited service campaign, rather than a full recall, covering about 177,500 of the hybrid sedans from the 2007 through 2011 model years because of an issue with the cars' brake fluid reservoirs.
The models have a filter separating two chambers of the brake fluid reservoir, and the part can get clogged over time. If this happens, the fluid level in one of the chambers can get too low and eventually cause the power assist to fail. There are multiple warning lights on the dashboard that illuminate over time if the filter gets obstructed, though. The company is replacing the entire reservoir with an improved unit, and the fix takes about two hours to perform.
Consumer Reports recently began asking for a recall on these models for the potentially clogged filters. The magazine also reported a second issue with the ABS brake actuator that could lead to a difficult to depress brake, but Toyota has increased the warranty on the part to 10 years or 150,000 miles.
