Sr5 4x4 Extended Cab With Matching Shell, 175k Miles on 2040-cars

Year:1998 Mileage:175000 Color: detail
Location:

Santa Barbara, California, United States

Santa Barbara, California, United States

I’m the 2nd owner of this truck and bought it in 1998 with 14K miles on it.  I’ve owned two Toyota trucks for the past 24 years and hate to say goodbye to this one but I need a little more room in the cab. This truck has lived in California all its life so it is rust free.

The original paint is in great condition with no clear coat fades.   Minor scratches and a few dents from general use but in much better shape than average. Original interior in good condition - minor wear on driver’s seat (see pictures).

15 inch aluminum rims with 31x10.5 BFG All-Terrain tires with lots of tread (see picture).  JVC stereo with CD player, AUX input and IPhone/USB input.  Stereo also has input for Bluetooth adapter but not installed.  Also has 6 disk CD changer located under driver’s seat.

Recently spent $4K on maintenance and improvements: rebuilt head and all head gaskets, replaced interior light bulbs, new tail gate cable, replaced shell seal, new center hub caps, JVC stereo, and full interior/exterior detail.  Timing belt was replaced at 114K miles.

Everything works, including the 4-wheel drive, cruise control, power windows, power locks and clutch cancel start.  Shifts into 4 high and low very smoothly. No issues with this Tacoma.  Any issues have been addressed, just drive and enjoy.  It 4Xs, runs, drives, shifts, brakes and steers with no issues.

It's located in Santa Barbara, CA with a clear title in my name.  Please be prepared to make a deposit via PayPal immediately.  The balance must be paid within 5 days via cash, bank transfer or wire transfer.  I can pick you up at the Santa Barbara Airport or I'll assist with your transporter.

If you have any questions you can message me through eBay or contact me on my mobile at 805-259-7132.  As is, where is.  No warranties express, written or implied.

Regards,

Pete

Toyota Aygo, Citro?n C1 to join Peugeot 108 in Geneva

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Just the other day, Peugeot took the wraps off the new 108. But its new city car, like the 107 it replaces, doesn't stand on its own. The 107 was a sister vehicle to not only the Citroën C1 but also the Toyota Aygo. So it should come as little surprise that, while Peugeot was the first to release photos and details on its version, Citroën and Toyota will also be on hand with their own versions when the veils lift on all three at the Geneva Motor Show.
We're expecting the new trio of budget-oriented hatchbacks to bear the fruits of individual efforts to distinguish themselves one from another more than their predecessors, which essentially looked the same save for different badges. But from the teaser image above, we'd venture that the Toyota version will be a further departure from the 108 than the C1 will be.
One way or another we'll have to wait and see, but for now you can view Toyota's teaser clip below, along with the press releases confirming the debut of both in Geneva next month.

Two new RWD Toyota sports cars to join FR-S?

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Toyota as we know it could become a thing of the past. According to Australian site Car Advice, the Japanese brand known for bland cruisers like the Camry and Corolla is preparing to bring two new rear-drive cars to market that would slot above and below the Scion-badged FR-S. This is very, very good news.
Car Advice spoke to the GT86/FR-S' chief engineer, Tatsuya Tada, who claimed, "Akio Toyoda always says to me, Toyota sports car [family] should be three sports car brothers. 86 is in the middle." The oldest "brother" would be the spiritual successor to the Supra, even if it doesn't wear that name. Tada is in charge of that project, while a sub-GT86 project is being headed-up elsewhere.
Tada refused to comment on names (CA specifically mentions MR2 and Celica) for the new small car, but did say that, "Yes it is rear-wheel drive and that's Toyota's strong position - Toyota sports car must be rear-wheel drive." Perhaps the juiciest bit of information obtained from Tada's interview with Car Advice was his hinting that both new sports cars would be joint ventures, like the GT86/FR-S/Subaru BRZ triplets. Tada wouldn't say who Toyota was in bed with on the smaller model, but did mention that the Supra would be a product of the world's largest automaker's partnership with BMW.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
