2005 40L V6 Black Toyota Tacoma SR5 Double cab Auto.

This is a beautiful example of an extremely well-kept  Florida truck, with only 3 owners from new. And has NEVER been smoked in or abused and never  wrecked. Clean Florida title in hand.

This Tacoma has a 9” lift fitted. A 6” Pro-Comp suspension lift kit and a 3” body lift. The previous owner had the lift kit professionally installed at great expense. The wheels are 18” Dick Cepecks with Nitto Trail Grabber 35x12.50x18 tires. The wheels and tires have only done 7000 miles from new and are in great condition. The truck drives and stops perfectly, with no wobbles or wandering.  The wheels/tires have recently been rotated and are done so every 3000 miles

The Interior is in excellent condition with NO marks or tears on any of the seats. NO cracks on any of the plastic, and EVERYTHING works perfectly. It has a Pioneer AVR 3400 head unit, 7” CD/DVD, SD, Ipod, AUX and Radio that has an awesome sound quality (the original unit is also included)plus a back up camera is also fitted.  A pair of Toyota seat covers protect the front seats. The carpets and headliner are in great shape too. No aftermarket speakers or amps, so no nasty holes anywhere. Super cool A/C, cruise control, power windows, power locks with both keys and remotes.

The exterior is also in really great condition. Lovely black paint which is regularly washed and waxed, with NO signs of paint or clear coat damage (common in Florida). This vehicle is totally rust free.

Please remember this truck is a 2005, so they are a few very light marks on the paint due to normal use, but nothing extreme.

This truck has always had Mobile 1 fully synthetic oil and high quality filters used by myself and its previous owners, and changed every 4,000 miles. The most recent service was done 650 miles ago and included diff and transmission oil changes with Royal Purple, new serpentine belt, coolant flush and change and  silicone wiper blades.  There are NO leaks of any kind and NO smoke. The engine and transmission is like new. The truck never uses a drop of oil between changes. Starts 1st time, every time, and is super reliable. Underneath this truck is dry, clean and rust free.

It is a 2WD so has never been taken off road and abused. Strictly driven on the road buy careful owners. It also has a tow hitch which has only been occasionally used for light towing of my jet ski. This truck is surprisingly good on gas (for a truck like this). Locally I get approx 14 mpg and hwy up to 20 mpg, but a lot depends on how you drive.

Also fitted are a pair of 3.5” stainless steel side steps, a 3.5” stainless steel bulbar, and a 3.5” stainless steel roll/light bar with 4 Hella spotlights. Any or all of these bars can be easily removed. They is also a nearly new trifold tonneau cover included, but the roll bar needs to be removed if you wish to use the cover.

If you like the look of this truck on the photos, you’ll love it when you see and drive it.

EVERTHING on this truck works as it should. Windows all go up and down.  Air conditioning is nice and cold. The engine and transmission are perfect. This truck is about as good as it gets.

I highly recommend you come view it, and please feel free to bring a mechanic.

This is a private sale so NO dealer fees.

Motivated seller so shoot me a "sensible" offer.

Any questions please send me a message and I will respond as soon as I can.

Thank's for viewing.

Australia may offer money to keep Toyota making cars there

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

In the wake of last month's announcement that Ford will cease automotive and engine production in Australia after 2016, many are wondering what the country's other automakers will do. Holden has already confirmed it will stay the course despite Ford's exit.
Much of the GM subsidiary's reason for sticking around has to do with a deal made last year between Holden and the Australian government. In order to secure a GM investment of $1 billion and a commitment to keep manufacturing in Australia through 2022, the government threw in an extra $215 million. According to Australia's Minister for Innovation and Industry, Greg Combet, the government is now in talks with Toyota for a similar deal.
Toyota operates one plant in Australia, the Altona manufacturing and engine plant in Victoria. The facility produces the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Australasia-only Aurion for both the local market and export. The report from GoAuto indicates that negotiations with the Australian government would include adding production of a third, all-new model at Altona, possibly the new RAV4, because it shares many parts with the Camry.

Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.

Toyota temporarily idles pair of Indian plants due to labor unrest

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

The Detroit News reported today that Toyota will restart production at two Indian plants, following a shutdown on Monday.
Factory labor, management and police in Asia engage in the kind of violent altercations that we're not used to, having almost entirely walked away from the overtly brutal relations epitomized by the Pinkerton Detective Agency and the Flint Sit-Down Strike. In India, a plant owned by a Ford transmission supplier plant was shut down in 2009 after incidents between workers and armed men around the same time as Ssangyong workers occupied a factory in South Korea, in 2012 Suzuki Maruti workers rioted over wages around the same time upset employees beat a ceramics factory president to death in retaliation for a labor leader's killing.
Toyota is the latest to company trying to avoid that road. The Detroit Free Press reported earlier this week that it shut down two plants in India after 11 months of acrimonious wage negotiations and arbitration have gone nowhere. Toyota said the plant workers in Bidadi, near Bangalore, had deliberately stopped production at times over the past 45 days and threatened management. The workers said they wanted their wages raised by an amount already agreed to by management, but that management had reneged; news reports weren't clear on the amount, some saying nearly 10,000 rupees ($165 US) more per month, another saying 4,000 rupees ($65 US), but reports agree that Toyota has said it will only go as high as 3,050 rupees ($50 US).
