2002 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner CrewCab TRD, SR5 pkg with 200k miles. Truck has been meticulously maintained by myself and the previous owner. 95% of the miles are highway driven. All sensors, Timing belt, accesory belts, hoses, and scheduled maintanance done at 175k miles. All documented as well. Truck literaly drives like new.

I have installed complete new suspension 5000 miles ago.

-The wheels are ProComp 16x8 black with splined lugs and I have the Gorrila Key and re-order card if the key is lost.
-The tires are Definity Dakota MT 285/75/16 (33x11.50) with about 65%-75% of tread left.

I have installed an Alpine SiriusXM CD player, I may leave it, not sure yet. I have the stock stereo which works as well.

The bed has been Line-Xed and also have an Undercover Hard Bed cover with locks and key.

The engine is the 3.4 V6, Auto Trans with the Factory installed Eaton Electric Locking Rear Diff.

The truck has the factory roof rack and chrome Westin bull bar and side steps, both in perfect shape. There is a receiver hitch and I have the ball as well.

The windows are tinted all the way around and legal, along with an eyebrow to help keep it cooler in the summer. It also has a sliding back glass.

Everything on the truck works as it should. The truck is fully loaded and it doesnt have any weird quirks or anything, its pretty straight forward, I just don't need a 3rd vehicle at this time.

Toyota sells off Tesla shares, too

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

The incredible rise of Tesla's stock price has done little to now stop two major shareholders from ditching their stake in the American EV manufacturer. First, Daimler, parent company of Mercedes-Benz, ditched its four-percent stake, and less than a week later, Toyota is doing the same thing, selling off an undisclosed bit of its Tesla investment.
The move comes as Toyota winds down sales of the RAV4 EV, which gets its batteries and electric motor from Tesla at the company's Fremont, CA factory.
"We have a good relationship with Tesla, and will evaluate the feasibility of working together on future projects," Toyota spokesperson Kayo Doi told Bloomberg via email.

Camatte concept puts the Toy back in Toyota [w/videos]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

It's been two years since Toyota first revealed its Camatte show car at the Tokyo Toy Show. Though sadly never destined for production, Toyota brought the concept back the following year as the Camatte 57s roadster, and is now returning to the same show with yet another take on the kid-friendly, configurable 1+2 with interchangeable body panels - this time with a slew of features that are fresh not only to the concept itself, but to the industry altogether.
This year the Camatte is being showcased in two forms: a bare chassis in the Tech Lab that lets kids see the inner workings of a modern automobile, and another in the Design Lab that lets kids draw their own motif for the concept that is then displayed on an LED hood.
The overall approach reminds us of the way Toyota's budget brand Daihatsu unveiled the Kopen roadster concept at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year, only even more kid-focused and decidedly more light-hearted than you might otherwise expect from one of the largest industrial giants in the world, and could only have been made for a toy exposition. In Japan. Which would explain the ridiculously upbeat videos below, where you'll also find the brief press release.

Toyota found not at fault in alleged unintended acceleration crash

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

Toyota has already paid out millions and billions of dollars in settlements surrounding unintended acceleration, but the first lawsuit in the matter, which headed to a California court in July, has reached a verdict. Following the 2009 death of Noriko Uno, whose 2006 Camry was hit by another car and then sped out of control before crashing into a tree, the jury found that Toyota was not at fault in the crash.
Even though the 2006 Camry (shown above) wasn't involved in any of the unintended acceleration-related recalls and it was not equipped with a brake override, Automotive News reports that the jury's verdict says there was no defect in the car and actually blames the entire incident on the driver that ran into Uno's car - to the tune of $10 million. The accident started when the other driver ran a stop sign and hit Uno's car, and the report says that medical conditions (including diabetes) caused Uno to fail to stop her Camry.
The AN article also states that this lawsuit was a bellwether case for around 85 other personal-injury and wrongful-death suits against Toyota, but there are still many impending suits across the country. Scroll down for an official statement on this particular case from Toyota.
