See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Very minor rust on body. Underside has been coated, so the frame is in great shape as well. The hood paint has some speckling from the sun."

Has been a great daily driver for years.  This is one amazing car.  Previous owner was an elderly gentleman in rural MA and had garaged her for a few years, so the miles are incredibly low at just over 110k.  The engine just purrs, she'll go another 150k easy.

Just like an SR5, but this one's a 3-speed automatic (transmission is in terrific shape).  The automatic was a little less common than the 5-speed, so you don't see these as often. Just had a new exhaust system put on and the underside was checked out. These cars will go anywhere - snow, ice, mud, mountains, etc. and gets high mileage (25-30mpg).  I haven't abused it all, only been off asphalt on a couple of occasions visiting family in Maine who live on a dirt road.

Exterior and interior are in great shape. Hood has some flaking from sun.  Starts right up. Body has no significant dents and minimal rust - I included photos of the worst stuff. The paint job could use a little love (cleaning, wax, etc). I really love this car; sad to see it go.
  • Recent complete exhaust system (Catalytic Converter, Tailpipe, Muffler)
  • Front brakes (pads, discs, boots)
  • Recent Tuneup
  • New wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor
  • Dual CD Player w/ iPod/iPhone jack
  • Recent Tires
  • Recently flushed & replaced coolant (and new radiator hose)
  • Wiper blades
  • Block heater
I'd be happy to answer questions and take more pictures or video upon request!

2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

Here's what we know about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla: It will have "aggressive new styling" with "available seventeen-inch alloy wheels" an "available touch screen audio" system and "available LED headlights."
We know all of this because Toyota has seen fit to release a small assortment of teaser images of the 2014 Corolla, with those descriptions attached. The latest to hit the web shows LED lighting clusters, which, to Toyota's credit, don't appear to merely mimic designs already seen in the automotive world.
We should point out that the headlights do share a link to the units seen on the Furia Concept that was supposed to foreshadow the next Corolla, though the most interesting bits - namely the honeycomb inner pattern - have been chucked while the somewhat trapezoidal main units remain intact.

Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.

Tesla expects another higher-volume deal with Toyota in next few years

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

Four months have passed since Toyota ended its relationship with Tesla Motors, in which the electric-vehicle specialist supplied full lithium-ion battery packs to the Japanese behemoth for its RAV4 EV rollout, of which 2,500 vehicles will be completed. Now, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk has been heard suggesting that a future collaboration is likely within the next two to three years, and that it will probably be much larger than the last one.
Both Tesla and Toyota have sung each other's praises in the not-too-distant past, Toyota telling Autoblog back in May, "We have a good relationship with Tesla and will evaluate the feasibility of working together on future projects." According to Automotive News, Musk said of the Japanese giant, "We love working with Toyota... We have a huge amount of respect for them as a company and certainly much to learn."
Interestingly, though, the two automakers have rather divergent strategies for eco-friendly automobiles. Toyota, as you're surely aware, is the clear-cut leader in hybrids and has thrown its massive support in the direction of hydrogen fuel cells, while Tesla has invested heavily in battery-electric technology and high-speed charging stations.
