Hello.  Up for bids is this 2004 Toyota Tundra double cab 4x4 limited V8 with lots of options.  This is a one owner vehicle that was purchased new and at the time paid $44,000.  The current mileage on the vehicle is 241,000 and will go up as this is my wife's daily driver.  The majority of the miles are highway miles (i.e., trips to the beach, out of state conventions, and out of town soccer games).

The truck runs as good as the day we bought it and I would not hesitate to drive it cross country today.  There are no leaks, does not smoke or burn oil, no strange noises.  Regular maintenance has always been done.  Timing belt was done around 180,000 miles.  Two oxygen sensors have been replaced.  Oil changes have been done recently using Mobile 1 Synthetic before that was Castrol GTX High Mileage.  The Tundra gets 17 mpg.

Some of the features on this Tundra are:  Moonroof, Tow Package, 6 disc CD changer, Playstation/XBox 360 hook-up, DVD player with wireless headphones, 115 volt power outlet, rear sliding window.  I believe that it has almost every option that was available at the time of purchase.

Recently, my wife was involved in a deer collision going 25 miles hour up a hill. The deer decided to dance all over the hood.  Everything damaged was replaced at the Toyota Collision using genuine Toyota parts.  The total was $6,258.69.  They did a fantastic job painting & replacing the parts.  I have an itemized statement that will go with the sale...some of the items replaced were:  hood, grille, radiator, bumper, transmission cooler, etc.

Rear bumper and tailgate are dented where she backed into a mailbox (see pics) this does not hurt the function of the tailgate nor is the bumper pushed into the bed.  The tires are Michelin LTX A/T 2 with about 85% tread and have always been rotated.  Interior is in good shape with the drive's side captain armrest torn due to wear.  The floor mats are in like new condition due to the fact that we purchased after market molded floor mats.

Buyer is 100% responsible for picking up the truck or having it shipped.  You can use the shipping quote tab to get quotes on shipping, you might be surprised on how affordable it can be.  I recently had a truck shipped from California to Ohio for only $650.00.

The truck is also available for sale locally and is subject to removal from the auction at any time should it be sold.  Thanks for looking!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.  I can send additional pics if necessary.  (513)553-One Eight Seven Zero.

2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Practice Day 4

Fri, 28 Jun 2013

The fourth and final practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is complete. Tomorrow everyone will make any last-minute adjustments and get their cars, their bits and bobs lined up in the pits for Sunday morning's this-time-it-counts run.
The Unlimited runners took on the top section of the course today, Sébastien Loeb and his big-mouth Peugeot acing the practice test again with a time of 2:11. Rhys Millen's team proved its got the engine issues of two days ago in the Hyundai PM580T sorted out, posting the next-best time at 2:27.16. The reason we had to dip all the way into the hundredths for his time is because he nipped Romain Dumas by just .31 of them, the Frenchman in the Norma M20FC PP running the course in 2:27.47. In fourth came the Frenchman in the monster Mini, Jean-Philippe Dayraut six seconds back at 2:33.
Time Attack competitors, also on the upper section, were led by Paul Dallenbach in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a time of 2:36, Porsche pilot Jeff Zwart crossing the line six seconds later at 2:42, fellow Porsche driver David Donner coming in another six seconds back at 2:48. Dallenbach has topped three of the four practice-day sessions, sliding into the second spot behind Donner only on Practice Day 2.

Toyota settles complaints with states Attorneys General for $29 million

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Toyota announced today that it has reached a settlement with the Attorneys General of 29 states and one US territory that will resolve their complaints relating to recalls performed by the automaker from 2005-2010, including those related to sticky accelerators and malfunctioning floor mats that may have contributed to cases of unintended acceleration.
The settlement includes a payout of $29 million to be divided among the states and US territory, as well as a commitment from Toyota "to take steps to make vehicle information more easily accessible to consumers to help them operate their vehicles safely and make more informed choices." The settlement also has Toyota continuing its rapid-response service teams and quality field offices that were put in place shortly after the largest of the recalls from 2010, as well as a "range of customer care amenities for owners of vehicles subject to certain recalls," though the press release below isn't specific about what those amenities might be.
This settlement marks the second major step in the last few months that Toyota has taken to settle legal disputes surrounding the unintended acceleration recalls, the first being a $1.4 billion settlement to address economic loss suffered by owners of current and past Toyota vehicles that may have lost value on account of these recalls.

Subaru Indiana plant to stop building Toyota Camry

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

Subaru may be set to end production of the Toyota Camry at its Lafayette, IN facility by 2017, according to a report from the Louisville Journal-Courier and a CBS affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. Speaking to the plant's Executive Vice President Tom Easterday, the whole affair sounds like a done deal.
"Based on changes in Toyota's production plans, they have decided that the award-winning Camry production contract will not be renewed," Easterday said. Easterday was quick to emphasize that just because Camry production would end, doesn't mean jobs will be lost. "There will be no loss of jobs at SIA as a result of this," he said, before adding that the loss of Camry production will have no impact Subaru's $400 million investment to ready the plant for Impreza production in 2016. That said, adding a promised 900 jobs may take longer than originally planned, as Camry production staff are set to be retrained on Subaru production.
SIA currently has the capacity to produce 100,000 Camrys per year, and began production of the family sedan in 2007 alongside production of the Subaru Outback, Legacy and eventually, the soon-to-be-discontinued Tribeca.
