Up for auction is a nice original 1974 Triumph TR6 convertible that I acquired recently from a friend at work. It comes with a stack of receipts from work done over the years and telling from the receipts I can tell it has always been well cared for. When I got the car it needed some exhaust work and brake work that I have since completed. The mileage is original and the vehicle runs very good. It is a little cold blooded on start ups but smoothes out nicely once it warms up a bit. The body is in decent condition and appears to have been repainted at some time. It is starting to show some rust issues but nothing that cant be repaired fairly easily. The chrome is in good condition thru out. Car has a new top. The interior needs a little work such as a drivers seat cover and a new carpet would spruce it up nicely. Tires are fairly new and in great shape. Has a great spare as well as tool kit and jack. Also comes with cover for convertible top as well as complete interior cover for when top is down. All glass is very good. Great thing about this car is the highly sought after overdrive transmission that works flawlessly. Makes driving at freeway speeds a breeze. All electrical works as it should. This is a great entry level Triumph that you can drive and restore at the same time.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
