French Blue Brit on 2040-cars
Madison, Connecticut, United States
1974 Triumph TR-6.
Originally purchased in N'Orleans, the current owner is unaware how many owners it may have had down south before she made her way up here just a few years ago.
We do know that the engine was rebuilt roughly ten years ago and included a lopier cam, triple side draft Webers and a header.
The car was repainted at one point in her life, in what appears to be an attempt to match the original French Blue. The paint is faded but seems to clean up nicely with some buffing. The owner is going through some serious health issues and isn't in a position to get out and buff her.
The body is very solid, with the trunk lid showing some corrosion along its edge, there is a very small amount just under the passenger door and there were two roughly quarter sized holes in the floor, that have been fiberglassed over. Despite there being no rust on the driver side, it too was fiberglassed... maybe to be symmetrical..? The frame is very solid and two newer rear A-arms have been installed. Tires were replaced by this owner with Coker Classic Redlines.
Interior remains the same black vinyl and is in overall good condition. Carpets are weak but still do their job. Dash is in good shape and again cleaning and some conditioning will make her look much better.
This car is a great driver though and with the engine mods, this car really gets up and goes, she really should be prepped for a place like Lime Rock Park or the Thompson road course.
With a bit of time, this car could be an even better looking, awesome driver to get out and enjoy the British car driving experience, this one with a little more in the seat of the pants than stock. She'll still get looks and smiles. With some money and time, she could be looking so much better and could even take home some trophies... and with even a little bit more, could be an awesome looker, show winner and even better driver.
The current owner is asking $8000 but is very open to offers... Best bet is to see this car in person, have cash and make an offer to the owner.
Please review all the photos and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
