Triumph Tr6 Red Convertible 43430 Original Miles on 2040-cars
Fulton, Missouri, United States
I have had this car since my dad passed away in 2012. I just don't have the resources to store and take care of the car in the way it needs. It has been stored outside under a tarp for 1 1/2 years and has, so far, started easily every time.
Condition: 43430 original miles. Clean title. The car was re-painted five or six years ago, I believe, but does have two significant exterior scratches/chips (see photos) and the paint has been worn down to bare metal in a few spots from the action of the tarp rubbing against contact points. The exhaust pipes have what appears to be some surface corrosion. The photo of the cracked paint is a little hard to see but it is an approximately 3 inch area. I don't know if the damage was caused from force or if there is an issue with paint adhesion. The interior is in good shape but was not professionally done. The tires and top appear to be in great shape. I have started the car regularly every month or two and driven up and down our 800' driveway. Gas has been run through the motor regularly so it shouldn't have any lacquer in the lines; however, all of the other fluids--coolant, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, etc.--have not been changed in approximately two to three years and all the systems need to be flushed. As near as I can tell, all of the seals seem to be holding but I can't guarantee anything due to lack of regular driving. Oil pressure has been steady and good. When the motor comes up to temp, there is light smoke from the exhaust manifold area--not a tremendous amount but definitely needs to be addressed. I'm only slightly mechanically inclined so I can't vouch for anything with the motor. I make no guarantees with this vehicle. It is sold as is and I would highly recommend having the car flat towed to your destination. I think that with some TLC this would be a great run-around car or could, with relative ease, be beautifully restored. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pick up. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
