1978 white/royal blue Volkswagen Transporter bus. Bus is in great condition given its year. Can be used as a daily driver. Driven 3-4 times a week. Dent above left tail light, manual transmission, brakes work great. Scratch to slider door. Slider door opens and closes fine. New door handles to passenger and driver side. CD player installed with speakers in front. Bus is missing middle bench seat but has back bench seat. All seats have custom upholstery with vw symbol in middle. Seat belts work. Lap belts installed for front seat, turn signals do not work but is an easy fix or you can just use your arms. That's what I do. Minimal rust. Great for camping/beach excursions..compliments everywhere I go. Serious inquiries only. Buyer responsible for shipment. Bus also has a pseudo camera under glove compartment. It's funny really. Put in by previous owner, conversation piece for sure.

Audi CVT suit settlement given green light, 64,000 cars covered
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Audi drivers, listen up. If you bought or leased a 2002-06 model-year A4 or A6 with a factory-installed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that failed, you may be entitled to reimbursement under a recently settled class-action lawsuit with corporate parent Volkswagen.
According to Automotive News, the settlement covers about 64,000 vehicles and alleges that "manufacturing and design problems caused the transmissions to fail and left owners stuck with repair costs." While the suit also argues Audi was aware of these issues (going so far as to hide that knowledge from consumers), the settlement stops short of acknowledging any wrongdoing by the German automaker.
Audi drivers are eligible for a cash reimbursement if their CVT repairs occurred within 10 years or 100,000 miles of the date they bought or leased the vehicle before June 19, 2013. To be eligible for compensation, drivers must submit a claim form (found here) with supporting documents by November 18.
Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.

Toyota reclaims global sales crown, GM and VW not far behind

The Japanese automaker turned out 9.75 million vehicles last year, putting it just ahead of General Motors, with 9.29 million vehicles. Volkswagen, meanwhile, filled out the podium by building 9.1 million units in 2012.
Still, Toyota numbers fell just below projections the automaker made earlier in the year, due largely to a fierce territorial dispute between Japan and China that has seen mainland buyers shun Japanese goods. But the news marks a substantial comeback for Toyota. The company fell to third place in the global production race in 2011 after tragic earthquake and tsunami caused several plant closures.
In Japan, Toyota enjoyed a sales increase of 35 percent over the previous year, while the company's worldwide sales jumped by 23 percent thanks in part to new additions to the Prius line. The automaker is forecasting yet another increase for 2013, with the company projecting to reach 9.91 million units this year. Neither Volkswagen nor GM have released their own projections just yet.
