I am downsizing and unfortunately do not have space to store the car.
I purchased the car 2 years ago from a classic car dealer in Virgina. I was told, the car was once owned by a local Virgina family and was supposed to be a present for the wife. She did not like the stick and they put it in a garage for their then 11 year old son to drive it when he will be old enough. He did not like the car and thus it was sold in 2012 to a VW Dealer in Virgina who sold it to the Classic Car Dealer. I am the second owner of the car. It is in mint condition. no cosmetic tricks, no shiny sprays used ever. The rims are original as the rest of the car. The trunk has no scratches or spots in the carpet. Carpet, Floor mats, radio, seats, everything is original. It has never been restored. The car has no corrosion at all. Everything in this car is original as it was delivered from VW in 1990. Everything works perfectly, Radio, AC. No oil consumption, Oil change was performed every 3K Miles. You can still see the wax/anti-corrosion treatment in the engine compartment. I did not pressure-wash the engine to show how unique this car is. This is a rare one-time opportunity. I hate to see the car go as I really loved it. I am asking for a $500 deposit via paypal. Volkswagen Group, BMW Z4 top Total Value Awards by Strategic Vision
Tue, 11 Dec 2012It was just nine months ago that Strategic Vision announced its 2011 Total Value Awards, but you don't have to wait until next year for the 2012 awards. The Volkswagen Group keeps its lead as the number one brand, with seven products taking top category spots: Golf, Jetta Wagon, CC, Eos and Audi A3 Wagon, Q5 and Q7. Strategic Vision says "true innovation" - "rich and impactful, intuitive, motivational, in-depth and is able to trigger description by the user in great specificity" - is the open secret of the brands with the strongest showings. Results are culled from 77,153 owners covering more than 350 new cars bought between September of 2011 and 2012 ranked in the Total Value Index (TVI).
Other notable winners are Hyundai-Kia following VW in the brand category and having the Hyundai Elantra and Kia Sorento among category winners, the BMW Z4 taking the premium roadster category and the highest overall score of any vehicle, the Chevrolet Volt continuing to gather silverware in the Special Category, nabbing the second-highest score of all and representative of "nearly perfect innovation," and Chrysler and Dodge being most improved.

Volkswagen CrossBlue previews a three-row future, diesel-hybrid power [w/video]
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Volkswagen looks to be getting ready to jump into the large three-row crossover game. The automaker has officially pulled back the curtain on the CrossBlue Concept at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
Designers and engineers penned the machine specifically for the Canadian and US markets, and with a plug-in diesel electric hybrid drivetrain, the hulking five-door, at least in concept form, should offer substantially better efficiency than anything else on the market. The drivetrain pairs a 2.0-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined output of 305 horsepower and a ludicrous 516 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch gearbox handles shifting detail, while one electric motor spins the front wheels. The second motor spins the back axle independently, make the CrossBlue a through-the-road hybrid.
As a result, the crossover can pop to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Perhaps more impressively, the CrossBlue can whir around on all-electric propulsion for up to 14 miles at up to 75 mph. Once the diesel four kicks in, the drivetrain can yield up to 39 mpg, though Volkswagen says the hardware can hit 89 MPGe on a full charge thanks to a 9.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. 2015 VW Golf R caught getting a flogging on 'Ring
Wed, 22 May 2013The upcoming version of the Volkswagen Golf R is nearly ready for prime time, if this video of the car flying around the Nürburgring is any indication. The all-wheel-drive R seems to make quick, neat work of the corners we see here, and sounds pretty devilish in the process.
Expectations are that the new Golf R will run a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (what else?), tuned to produce even more than the current car's 256 horsepower. (Some sources have indicated outputs as high as 286 horsepower, with 280 pound-feet of torque. It's still not clear if Volkswagen will bring the six-speed dual-clutch transmission to the US-spec Golf R in this next go-round or if we'll stick to having only... eh... the stick.
In either case - watching the video below will only whet your appetite for the new, highest performing member of the Golf family.
