It's a great vehicle for roadtrips and camping, but also very versatile for other smaller adventures. Of course, it's the perfect car for surfers. You can easily fit your boards/longboards inside, or in the roof rack (provided). It includes a Coffee Table and you can turn the rear seats into a queen size bed! (see pictures). We have taken good care of the car and it runs perfectly fine. It doesn't have any major problem that we know of. It has been serviced by Sunnyvale Volkswagen and Euro Auto Center in Mountain View (highly recommended since they are specialized in European cars). $1.4B hedge fund suit against Porsche dismissed
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Investors have canvassed courts in Europe and the US to repeatedly sue Porsche over its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen in 2008 (see here, and here and here), and they have repeatedly failed to win any cases. You can add another big loss to the tally, with Bloomberg reporting that the Stuttgart Regional Court has dismissed a 1.4-billion euro ($1.95B US) lawsuit, the decision explained by the court's assertion that the investors would have lost on their short bets even if Porsche hadn't misled them.
Examining the hedge funds' motives for stock purchases and the bets that VW share prices would fall, judge Carola Wittig said that the funds didn't base their decisions on the key bits of "misinformation," and instead were participating simply in "highly speculative and naked short selling," only to get caught out.
With other cases still pending, the continued streak of victories bodes well for Porsche's courtroom fortunes, since judges will expect new information to consider overturning precedent. If there is any new info, it could come from the potential criminal cases still outstanding against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking and CFO Holger Härter, who were both indicted on charges of market manipulation.
Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.

Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show

So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range.
