2013 4 Door Metallic Black Golf R, Stage 2, 6k Miles With All Options, Like New! on 2040-cars
Laguna Niguel, California, United States
I am selling my recently acquired metallic black 4 door 2013 Golf R. The car came with every conceivable option and had an MSRP of $37,155. The car has 6K miles and is in perfect condition. It has all of the books & records it came with, all keys, window sticker, etc. I had Four Seasons Tuning in Orange, CA perform the following: Neuspeed Front Mounted Intercooler All of these mods were performed at a cost of just over $6K. The car is close to 320hp with gobs of torque!!! I thought that the car was a little too loud with the cat back exhaust so I put the stock exhaust back on, along with the BB down pipe. The car runs great with no resonance. It runs like a raped ape!!!! I am selling the car with all of the original parts, including the intercooler, downpipe, Haldex ECU as well as the Billy Boat exhaust. The car is located in Orange County, CA. More pics available upon request. IMPORTANT NOTE: MY APOLOGIES TO THE PEOPLE WHO BIDDED ON THIS CAR OVER THE WEEKEND. I ERRONEOUSLY DIDN'T INCLUDE A RESERVE PRICE AND EBAY MADE ME HALT THE AUCTION AND THEN RELIST WITH A RESERVE. SORRY - BUT AT LEAST I GOT IT RIGHT THIS TIME!!! :-)

VW midsize crossover production headed for Chattanooga
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Potential labor woes aside, it looks like Volkswagen's Chattanooga, TN factory must have done something that impressed the bosses in Germany, because it sounds like the three-year-old factory is set to score a second model.
The factory currently builds the Passat, and has been in the running alongside VW's Puebla, Mexico factory to build a new crossover vehicle, likely based on the CrossBlue Concept. According to Bloomberg, a pair of unnamed sources have confirmed that Chattanooga is the favorite ahead of an official announcement.
When last we heard about the CrossBlue Concept, word was that a production decision had been delayed over concerns about the three-row CUV's business case. That August 2013 story claimed that a decision regarding the CrossBlue would be pushed back until early in 2014, which means we're ripe for some sort of news, whether good or bad.
Former Porsche boss Wiedeking won't face criminal charges over VW bid
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Hedge fund managers have been suing Porsche for years now, alleging that the car company lied about its intentions during its failed attempt to take over Volkswagen, a gambit that caused them billion in losses. Over the same period, authorities in Stuttgart built a criminal case against former CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (above, left) and Chief Financial Officer Holger Härter (right), filing charges in December 2012. When those fund plaintiffs lost their most recent court case, one of the dimming lights in the dark and receding tunnel was that the criminal investigation might unearth more evidence about Porsche's actions that could help the plaintiffs in pending litigation.
Bloomberg reports that another light has gone out, though, with a Stuttgart court dismissing the market manipulation case before going to trial because, as a court spokesperson said, "there wasn't enough evidence backing up the charges." When prosecutors get the files back from the court, they have a week to decide to refile, but unless they've been sandbagging evidence that could bolster the case, the only lights at the end of the tunnel will be those welcoming Wiedeking and Härter back to the world of legally unencumbered men.
UAW angered over VW workers getting right to defend anti-union vote
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The United Auto Workers have called a decision by the National Labor Relations Board allowing anti-UAW employees at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga the right to defend voting down unionization at the plant "an outrage."
You'll recall that the union was defeated by a vote of 712 to 626 in a contentious February election. The UAW claims the outcome was unfairly swayed by pro-business, anti-union forces, including Senator Bob Corker and political advocate Grover Norquist.
This new decision by the NLRB essentially gives workers backed by the anti-UAW National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation and Southern Momentum a formal voice in the impending hearing on the UAW's appeal of the vote.
