THE ODOMETER IS IN KILOMETERS WHICH EQUATES TO ABOUT 38,000 MILES.

THE CAR IS ALMOST NEVER DRIVEN. OWNED BY AN OLDER MALE THAT CANNOT DRIVE A MANUAL ANY MORE.

THE CAR AS THE PICTURES SHOW IT NOT AS CLEAN IF IT WERE PUT THROUGH A CAR WASH.

HARD TO FIND A TDI EVEN IN THIS GORGEOUS FOREST GREEN COLOR. THESE CARS ARE THE BEST OF THE TDIs TO OWN BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY EASY TO REPAIR WHEN NEEDED, PARTS ARE VERY INEXPENSIVE, THEY GET 45-55 MPG EASILY AND THE TRUNK SPACE IS WAY MORE THAN IT APPEARS. THE REAR SEATS FOLD DOWN.
THIS CAR WAS NEVER SMOKED IN AND NEVER HAD ANY PETS IN THE CAR.

THE CAR RUNS AS YOU WOULD EXPECT. THE TURBO WORKS EXCELLENT.
THE CLUTCH IS EXCELLENT.

THE STEREO WORKS FINE.
THE FRONT POWER WINDOWS AND SUN ROOF WORK
THE FRONT WINDOWS WORK

THE HEAT AND A/C WORK AS YOU WOULD EXPECT

THE CAR DRIVES AS YOU WOULD EXPECT

THE ORIGINAL TIRES WERE RECENTLY REPLACED. THEY ARE NEWER MICHELINS WITH HARDLY ANY WEAR ON THEM. OPTIONAL ALLOY WHEELS ARE EXCELLENT.

THE BRAKES FEEL FINE. STEERING AND SUSPENSION ARE GREAT.

THE ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE, NEVER USED, TIRE JACK ETC.... ARE IN THE TRUNK

THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE CAR IS THE REAR WINDOWS DO NOT WORK. I DON'T THINK THEY WERE *EVER* USED AT ALL. COULD BE THE SWITCH? NO NOISE LIKE THE POWER WINDOW MOTORS ARE TRYING TO WORK.

THIS JETTA TDI WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER 300,000 MILES OF RELIABLE SERVICE PROVIDED IT IS MAINTAINED.

THIS CAR CAN BE DRIVEN AS IT SITS ANYWHERE WITH NO CONCERNS.

VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL CONNECTICUT. THIS JETTA TDI WILL BE SOLD ON EBAY WITH *NO RESERVE*. IF YOU'RE THE LAST BIDDER, YOU WON THE CAR!

I WILL GLADLY MEET THE BUYER WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE TO ASSIST THE SALE. YOU CAN FLY IN, TAKE A TRAIN OR BUS. I WILL GLADLY WORK WITH YOUR TRANSPORTER TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR HIM TO GET THE VEHICLE IF THAT IS YOUR CHOICE. I WANT TO MAKE THIS AN EASY TRANSACTION FOR BOTH OF US.

THIS MAY BE THE LAST TIME YOU WILL EVER SEE A JETTA TDI WITH THIS MILEAGE & THIS NICE SO DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE!!!

VW readying CC Shooting Brake?

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

This was bound to happen. Volkswagen's relentless drive for big volume has the brand mining seemingly every niche it can find for additional sales worldwide. And with its CLS Shooting Brake, fellow countryman Mercedes-Benz has already shown that a wagon based off of a "four-door coupe" can look dead sexy and command extra dollars. So it follows that the Volkswagen CC (whose existence is all but directly attributable to the success of the original CLS sedan) will also get a load-lugging variant. That's according to the UK's Autocar, which notes that the five-door will come in the CC's next generation.
According to the report, the next CC will be available in front and all-wheel drive variants with the usual assortment of gas and diesel four-cylinders found in the Wolfsburg empire, with the possibility of a gas plug-in hybrid model, too. The rakish estate will ride atop VW's MQB architecture, a shorter variant of which is also found underneath the new Golf. The scalable chassis is set to spread like kudzu throughout the company's lineup, but the CC probably won't happen until after the launch of the next European-market Passat in 2015.
Will we get it in North America? Hard to say. Volkswagen sells the standard CC saloon here, but not in particularly large numbers, and when the company moved to a North American-specific Passat, it dumped the wagon variant. The traditional VW estate apparently continues to pick up sales momentum abroad, however, making the CC Shooting Brake a seemingly natural fit for buyers who still want the utility of a two-box form but can afford to sacrifice a bit of cargo room in the name of style.

Volkswagen Cross Up! headed for production after Geneva reveal

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

The last time we saw the Volkswagen Cross Up!, it was sitting out in the snow in prototype form, but the next time we'll see this slightly more rugged version of the diminutive Up! hatchback will be when it makes its production debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Looking like a micro-crossover with its raised ground clearance and black cladding, the Cross Up! will be the fourth "Cross" model for VW (after the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran) when it goes on sale this summer in mainland Europe (UK sales remain up in the air and US sales are highly unlikely).
Overall, the styling of the production Cross Up! has stayed fairly true to the 2011 concept car, including the front and rear fascias that offer a more rugged look, stocky 16-inch wheels and roof rack side rails. Inside, this model will get unique interior enhancements such as "Cross Up!" sill plates and an instrument panel available in red, black or silver. Like the regular Up!, the Cross Up! is powered by a 74-horsepower, 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and it doesn't look like all-wheel drive will be part of the picture. For more details on the upcoming Cross Up!, check out VW's press release posted below.

Porsche 911 with VW turbodiesel prepares for LeMons assault

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

LeMons racing is a wonderful example that setting limits can actually breed creativity. The series mandates that all entries must cost $500, not counting safety equipment, and that cap forces teams to be ingenious in how they build a racecar. Take for example this diesel-powered Porsche 911, which its creators have dubbed Ferkel the Nein-11, that will be racing in the Sears Pointless race this weekend in Sonoma, California.
This Frankenstein combines a 911 chassis that was originally bought just for its European powertrain and a Volkswagen TDI diesel engine mounted in the rear. After deciding the shell could still be of some use, the team decided to go racing. "We began brainstorming what replacement drivetrain to use for maximum offense and there was really only one answer: a diesel," said Philipp von Weitershausen, one of the team captains, to Jalopnik. They bought a 1998 Jetta TDI on the cheap and started figuring out a way to hack the engine into the bay. To pay respect to the donor, the VW's trunk was highly modified (and drilled) and grafted onto the back of Ferkel.
This team isn't a newcomer to LeMons. Its last car was a classic VW Beetle with a Subaru engine and dual controls, named Ferdinand the Bug, which could be driven from the left or right side. It's quite a sight.
