Very nice used Passat wagon, 1.8l Turbo, 5 speed. Timing belt, water pump, tensioner, & coolant replaced with new vw parts in April 2012 at 129,381. Turbo replaced with a reman. unit from vw in August 2012 at 137,647. Spark plugs replaced with new parts from napa in December 2012 at 145,312. Fuel pump replaced with New vw part in March 2013 at 149,250. Rear brake pads replaced with new napa parts in March 2013 at 149,258. New Pa. inspection, good till May 2014. Wanted to mention there is small scuff marks on the Left front bumper cover, also there is a small dent in the left rear fender lip, and also a small piece of trim missing on the left rear in front of the rear wheel, all items mentioned are shown in pictures. I am Auto mechanic and bought this car from the customer because the car would not run and the customer was looking for a reason to buy a newer car, so I bought it and put the fuel pump in it and new rear brakes. I have also performed the repairs that are listed above. Car runs really well, Many miles left in this one. Any Questions Please ask And I will Try to answer them to the best of my knowledge. New VW Beetle Convertible ad needs no disguise
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Convertibles make you do funny things. Ask someone if they'd drive a hardtop in near freezing temperatures with all the windows down and they might not even answer, thinking the question so ridiculous. Give that same person a convertible they love and you might just have to ask them to please put the top up even when snow is on the ground.
That guy has to take precautions to enjoy his proclivities, and as this new ad for the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible shows, not everyone understands. Have a watch below, and note that there's just one woman in the minute-long spot, and she's nowhere near the car. Seriously, why didn't VW run this commercial during the Super Bowl?
Next-gen Volkswagen Golf R spied while running the 'Ring
Tue, 16 Apr 2013The launch of a new Volkswagen Golf is never a small thing, and things are already looking up for the subcompact hatchback after it was named 2013 World Car of the Year. While we've already seen the base and GTI versions of the next-generation Golf, now we're getting our first look at the sportier Golf R.
Although this prototype wears GTI lettering on the front fenders, it's more than just the roll cage and Sparco racing seat hinting that this is something a little more serious. Unlike the Golf and GTI, this car shows that the Golf R will continue to flaunt massive air intakes on each side of the fascia, and the rear of the car (though it's hard to see) has quadruple exhaust outlets. We still don't have an official word on power, but rumors indicate that the next Golf R could be pushing close to 300 horsepower, making it the most powerful production Golf ever. As much fun as we had during our first drive of the Golf R Cabriolet in the cold, snowy French Riviera last month, more power is a warming idea.
