I have a very nice 2004 Vollswagon Touareg with 90 thousand miles.
I purchased the car earlier this year knowing it was not running, with every intention of investigating further and getting it running to use for myself. After several months with no resolution, we're forced to put the vehicle up for purchase by someone who has the time and manufacturer knowledge to dedicate to fixing this beautiful SUV. It is a V6 3.2 l loaded vehicle; heated leather seats, stereo with CD player, sunroof with power windows and locks, retractable rear view mirrors with room for five with spacious trunk cavity in the rear. This car has good brakes and new tires. Everything electronic internally and externally works. The engine just will not start. Since I had purchased the vehicle, we replaced the battery hoping that it would resolve the no-start issue but we've discovered that it might be an electrical issue; fuse, relay, broken wire, etc. I jumped the starter and solenoid to see if the car would turn over, which it did. It just does not turn over with the key. Car has great compression. Only 90 thousand miles. Buyers from USA only. Transport fees responsible to buyer, not seller. No overseas transactions. Volkswagen hatches hotter GTI in Geneva
Tue, 05 Mar 2013The all-new seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf hasn't even launched here in the United States, but over in Geneva, we're already getting our first glimpse at the hotter GTI hatchback. The fancy new Mk VII Golf is already off to a healthy start with positive reviews in Europe, and we have no doubt that this next GTI will work hard to regain its title as king of the hot hatches.
The big news for this generation of GTI is that for the first time ever, Volkswagen is actually offering two different power grades for the model, both relying on the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. Standard cars pack 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, but an optional performance pack ups the horsepower number to 230. Hitting 60 miles per hour takes 6.5 seconds (6.4 with the performance pack) and top speed is quoted at 153 mph (or 155 with the performance kit). Volkswagen will continue to offer the GTI with both six-speed manual and dual-clutch transmissions.
On the visual front, the sub-3,000-pound GTI adds the usual bit of hot hatch aggression over the standard Golf, and those changes carry over to the interior with a flat-bottomed wheel and, of course, plaid seats. She's certainly a looker, and while some of us do find the new Golf's design to be a bit staid and evolutionary, the enhancements for the GTI indeed tug on our enthusiast heart strings.

This was in the heart of the ultra-chic Côte d'Azur during winter. The car to be tested was the not-for-North America 2013 Volkswagen Golf R Cabriolet. Prevailing weather conditions here this time of year are bizarrely pleasant, as though a dome of Swarovski crystal has been placed over the entire region to protect it from any real winter spoiling things. And the zippy Golf R Cabriolet is a sports car designed precisely for this area's preciously narrow winding streets, as well as for the lofty budgets of its property owners.
So then why was it snowing like we were in northern Michigan? The weather front hit from the north like a swift kick to the Jordaches. The roof was open on this Candy White Golf R Cabrio and I, as is my wont, was determined through thick or thin to keep it retracted. It had been raining and sometimes sleeting like the End of Days, but I kept the lid cracked because the 261-horsepower cabrio - the most powerful convertible ever built by Volkswagen - was snipping along nicely as the bad weather blew over my head and wetted only the rear headrests.
