Daily driven Volvo 245 with a heart of gold. This thing will go forever. No rust on underside. My family was the last 3 owners of this car, it has been very well maintained, and I have ALL of the SERVICE Records. It has high miles but mostly highway miles from going on road trips several times a year. She is ready for another road trip!

Here are some of the recent things maintained on this volvo: Timing Belt Replaced - 305,000 miles Water Pump Replaced - 305,000 miles Head Gasket and Head Replaced - 305,000 miles (I only replaced the head because when I replaced the exhaust manifold gasket, one of the manifold studs broke inside the head). Exhaust Manifold Gasket - 305,000 miles Alternator Replaced - 319,000 miles Starter Replaced - 312,000 New Goodyear Tires - 317,000 miles Replaced Inner/Outer Ties Rods, Ball Joints, Front Struts, Rear Shocks, Swaybar EndLinks & Bushings, Driver side control arm and aligned - 317.000 Oxygen Sensor - 310,000 miles Replaced Cat and exhaust behind it - 300,000 miles Transmission Replaced with low-mileage Rebuilt Transmission from 740 Turbo - 272,000 miles ($2,500 receipt) Distributor Cap, Spark Plugs, Vacuum Hoses, Brake Pads, Flame Trap Filter - Replaced Every Spring Oil/Filter/Oil Filler Cap Gasket Replaced with Pennzoil and Lucas - Every 5,000 Miles Transmission shifts smoothly throughout the gears and overdrive works fine with no glitches. Engine runs smooth, no backfires or problems starting. 1st click start every time. There are a few very minor spots of rust, all of which have been treated. Runs great. I am only selling because I now have 3 volvo's and insurance is taking it's hold on my wallet. This wagon gets about 21 mpg in the city and roughly 25/27 on the highway...not to shabby for a car that resembles a tank. Currently there is 320,000 miles on the clicker, if you know RWD Volvo's this is not an issue. The B230F engine is the most reliable engine on the road, with a little maintenance it will run from the time you are in college until you retire....In matter of fact - The more miles a volvo has, the cooler it is. Volvo previews Concept XC Coupe ahead of Detroit reveal [w/video]
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Volvo is in the midst of a three-stage design revolution. The first stage came with the reveal of the Concept Coupe in Frankfurt just this past September. What you see here is our first glimpse at the second stage.
The Volvo Concept XC Coupe previewed here will be unveiled in full on January 8 in advance of the Detroit Auto Show. While the previous concept was all sleek, the Concept XC Coupe takes a more rugged, utilitarian approach with a hatchback roofline, higher ride height, knobbier tires, lower body cladding and a rooftop box. From what we can see, it looks like a cross between the previous concept and an XC70 wagon that could preview a soft-road replacement for the C30 hatchback.

Volvo confirms unnamed US model reveal for NY show
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Tucked into the press release for the "display debut" of the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid at the New York Auto Show, Volvo snuck in a single line announcing that it will also be introducing a new model for the North American market. As much as we'd love to see the svelte V40 on American roads, we're pretty sure the automaker is looking to fill its US station wagon void with the V60.
The 2014 Volvo V60 is part of a comprehensive lineup update that was unveiled earlier this month in Geneva, and it would give Volvo dealers a conventional wagon (not including the XC70) for the first time since the V70 and V50 were killed off. We'll still be keeping our fingers crossed for the stylish V40 hatchback or the fuel-efficient V60 diesel hybrid, but we have to wait until next week to find out for sure.
Volvo Concept XC Coupe is ready to hit the slopes
Tue, 14 Jan 2014There's something inescapably right about a Swedish car with a set of skis on its roof. It doesn't matter if it's a Jurassic-era Volvo Amazon, a Saab 900 Turbo, or even a Koenigsegg Agera R. Surely it's some sort of Scandinavian birthright... right along with immaculate complexion. The latest to carry on that tradition in fine form? The Volvo Concept XC Coupe, just released at this week's Detroit Auto Show.
The two-door, four-seat XC Coupe rolled onto stage here at Cobo pre-outfitted with a matching ski box, looking sharp on its 21-inch wheels. According to Volvo, the box isn't an afterthought - in fact, the XC Coupe's design itself was "inspired by modern sports equipment."
As for the rest of the concept's genetic makeup, at this point, we don't have much to go on. Volvo has admitted that the XC Coupe rides atop its new boron-steel-intensive Scalable Product architecture, but it has declined to outline any sort of powertrain details. We're not sure if this showcar has any production future, but we do expect for its design language to inform the next-generation XC90 crossover.
