RARE FIND! ONLY 2,978 ORIGINAL MILES! FLOOD/WATER DAMAGE VEHICLE! Vehicle runs and drives excellent ! Damage: From what I was told was, this vehicle was a nanny car left at a beach house for vacation use only. Great car for a hands on individual to go through and have a practically new vehicle. Engine runs fine, however the SRS(airbag light and check engine lights are lit on the dashboard. The drivers seat reclines but does not slide front and back, stereo functions along with the fan , lights, windows, central remote locking system etc. Buyer will obviously need to remove the interior to correct the issues with the drivers seat and dry out any moisture between the carpeting and floorboards. The passenger seat is manual.Vehicle does not have any ugly odor from the water incident. I would say the best way to repair the seat would be to purchase a used junkyard seat and swap over the tracks/electronics. The rear wiper arm is missing and the right rear tail lamp is cracked. Equipped: 2.4 liter engine, auto trans with "W" winter mode, leather interior, heated front seats, power moon roof, headlamp washers, 16" alloys with Michelin tires, wood trim, 3RD row seating etc. Vin # is posted if you would like to run a Auto Check or Carfax to verify the mileage. Volvo confirms unnamed US model reveal for NY show
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Tucked into the press release for the "display debut" of the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid at the New York Auto Show, Volvo snuck in a single line announcing that it will also be introducing a new model for the North American market. As much as we'd love to see the svelte V40 on American roads, we're pretty sure the automaker is looking to fill its US station wagon void with the V60.
The 2014 Volvo V60 is part of a comprehensive lineup update that was unveiled earlier this month in Geneva, and it would give Volvo dealers a conventional wagon (not including the XC70) for the first time since the V70 and V50 were killed off. We'll still be keeping our fingers crossed for the stylish V40 hatchback or the fuel-efficient V60 diesel hybrid, but we have to wait until next week to find out for sure.
Volvo working to allow groceries delivered to your car, even when you aren't there
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Volvo cites research showing that 60 percent of online shoppers had problems with their deliveries in 2013, and that missed first deliveries cost the industry roughly one billion euros ($1.37B US) in re-delivery costs, as impetus for its "Roam Delivery Service" that delivers packages to your car. The service uses Volvo On Call and Sensus Connect car-connectivity and telematics apps already installed in vehicles, and a digital key with a timed window of operation.
The car owner is notified if delivery to or pickup from the car would be the best option, which they then have the option to approve or decline. If approved, the position of the vehicle is sent to the delivery driver, as well as a digital key that can open the car. Once the delivery has been made, the owner is notified and the digital key is erased, leaving only a time stamp to record when the car was opened and then locked.
The technology will be shown to the public at the Mobile World Congress later this month. There's a video and a press release below with more on the details.

Wed, 02 Jul 2014You know what we haven't posted in a long time? A very weird, car-related video. It's high time we address this failing.
As strange videos go, this one is truly bizarre. The two-minute clip focuses on the Volvo V60 R-Design, although you're not going to be learning anything about the car. Instead, you're going to be focused on the weird narrator (and the cat decals on the windows).
It's like someone taught the Swedish Chef to speak English, but with a ridiculous accent and a script that's been fed through Google Translate. The result is a weirdly cerebral voice speaking in a manner that borders on gibberish mixed with information about the car. We're particularly fond of, "In accordance with Volvo tradition... the car... is... of course... furnished, with an inside." "Floor bibs," in reference to the floor mats, was an office favorite, as well.
