History

The Pontiac Firebird is an automobilewhich was built by the Pontiacdivision of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introducedthe same year as the automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro.This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared itsplatform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang.

The 1969 model received a major faceliftwith a new front end design but unlike its big brother the GTO, it did not havethe Endura bumper. The instrument panel and steering wheel were revised. Theignition switch was moved from the dashboard to the steering column with theintroduction of GM's new locking ignition switch/steering wheel.

This vehicle was originally a PontiacFirebird 350 Convertible. It was restored as a Trans Am tribute. The previous ownerpurchased the car in 2009 as you see it today. It has been kept in a climatecontrolled garage since the purchase. The restoration was a four year projectand has only 700 miles on the build. The odometer was set back to 0 whenrestoration was completed.
