1960 Porsche 356B DRAUZ Roadster. Restored. COA. SEE VIDEO

1960 Porsche 356B Drauz Roadster

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that this car (#87794) was delivered on April 21, 1960. German coachbuilder Karosseriewerke Drauz built just 2,653 Drauz Roadsters from 1960 to 1962.

This spectacular 1960 356B Drauz Roadster underwent a complete frame-off concours restoration in 2006. Everything was done to make it a showstopping car. The body was media blasted and the car refinished in base/clear correct silver metallic paint. The panel fit is exceptional with straight seams and contours. The work order does not indicate replacement of any floor panels and they are believed to still be original. Body, paint and mechanical work at that time totaled $23,000+. The car was also completely reupholstered in correct black leather, along with new top, totaling over $8,000. (All receipts will be included.) The quality of the work still shows, now some 7 years later. Please see photos, taken last week.

Prior to restoration, the original engine (#800437) was replaced with a fully rebuilt 1961 1600 Super engine (#S085267.) It has traveled approximately 1,000 miles since installation. This car runs beautifully and has always been properly maintained.

Suffice to say this is one of the finest 1960 356B Drauz Roadsters available today. A realistic reserve has been placed on the car in keeping with its quality and rarity. Your personal inspection is invited and encouraged. Car is located in Portland, Oregon. Bring your experts, they will be impressed.
