1977 Mercedes 450SL Roadster

Mercedes SL series roadsters have long been a favorite of the jet-set. Whether used as a daily commuter or as a weekend fun car at the beach, the SL is a versatile car no matter what your purpose.
The SL series is equally at home at the country club or at the grocery store, and this extremely well kept 450 SL is no exception.

Her silky smooth 4.5 liter/4520 cc V8 OHC engine with Bosch K Jetronic system, an entirely mechanical fuel injection system, and solid automatic transmission is capable of carrying this Mercedes to a top speed of over 120 mph and sprint from zero-to-sixty in just over ten seconds (according to Mercedes).

*Just letting you know that she has plenty of pep on hand for spirited driving maneuvers, and Not suggesting that you test those numbers...

This Benz is also equipped with factory Cruise Control, Air-Conditioning, a Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette stereo with Power Antenna, All Around Heat Insulated Glass and Heated Rear Window Pane, Power Door Locks and Power Windows.

Sporting quad headlights and bumpers with 8 inches of rubber on each end (to comply with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regulations of the day) the '77 SL has a distinctly Mercedes appearance.

The body of this wonderfully "Garage Kept" 450 SL roadster is straight and solid.
The doors open and close with the authority of a bank vault, and all body panels are in alignment.
Her Light Ivory exterior was professionaly refinished approximately 20 years ago.

Slip into the Driver's seat and notice how the leatherette bucket seats are comfortable, soft and supple, providing a luxurious feel for both driver and passenger.
Notice how the cockpit gives you the confident feeling of control.
Your instrument panel is in perfect view placement and all controls are in easy reach. The roomy and like new interior provides a pleasant space to travel.

This SL includes the optional removable hardtop as well as the original canvas convertible top.
Removing the hardtop to allow convertible style takes mere minutes. The canvas convertible top is in wonderful condition and the back window is clear and flexible.

The premium wire wheels are in very good condition as are the tires.
