     This 1979 MG Midget is a clean original California car that has been lovingly maintained and retains much of it's originality. 88K miles showing which could be correct, but unfortunately as a donated vehicle, not verifiable. Not really a show car, but just a good rust free original that had it's needs addressed over its lifetime.

     The paint is original and a bit dull, but should respond well to a proper detail. There are a few chips but the original pinstriping is present and still in good shape. The chrome still shines well and the top is also in good condition.

     Inside, the seats, carpet, and dashboard all look great. All controls seem to work well and even a Sony CD player has been added.

     Mechanically it was just treated to an engine rebuild and runs and drives great. It does take a while to warm up when cold, but once warm, it idles nicely and drives well. The wheels are polished alloy "Minators" with tires that should be probably be replaced soon due to their age.

     

     If you're an MG collector, or just looking for a fun summer car, this is a good one!

    Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A 25% deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 3 days of auction end. Payment can be made by Cash in person, Paypal, Bank Wire Transfer, Visa or Mastercard. Maximum amount payable by Paypal, Visa or Mastercard is $5K due to transaction charges. Out of state buyers will receive a California title in their name within two to three weeks after full payment is received. We invite bidders to come see and drive the vehicle at our location in Redwood City CA. prior to placing a bid Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. We suggest DAS shippers or Uship.com .
